Mississippi River Low Water Levels Reveal Sunken Casino Riverboat

Record-breaking low water levels on the Mississippi River due to a nationwide drought revealed a sunken casino riverboat in Memphis, Tenn. What was once known as the Diamond Lady sat empty and unused for years before storms in 2021 sank her. WMC’s Walter Murphy reports.

The water was so low, that folks could walk out to the Mississippi River island called Tower Rock. We got some beautiful video of visiting it. It was really neat to visit and see. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vVzuZC8OvKY

we should take this opportunity to clean up debris from the river bottom and build things that will be easier to build when the river returns

It didn’t “reveal” anything. Everyone knows there that hoe is this is a great opportunity for people to clean crap up with the water levels being low. Not only here but I’m the west. Pick the crap up and stop crying about drought. If you hate how dry it is move somewhere it rains

We’ve been in dire straits globally for decades now. We were warned. I’m afraid the slippery slope is now too steep to reverse. I’m not particularly religious as far as the King James version goes, but we are headed into those biblical descriptions of great suffering.

The fact that everyone enjoys working and using the river, ok I get that but does anyone ever give thanks and glory to who gave you the river? Or does anyone care? It seems like everyone likes to take, take and take but never give gratitude to who and where the river is from.
FYI; If you have not noticed everything on this earth is the Lord God’s and yet everyone just seem to go past that and then get a pay check.
Just like Las Vegas who literally brags about what happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas and they are the So called the Sin City.
So if you are the so call the Sin City why can’t you produce your own water then? LOL.
    I did not think so.
Didnt Las Vegas say they were going to get water piped from Mississippi to there? What happened? That is right!!!!!!
Ain’t no river is going to give water to a place calling themselves the Sin City.!!!!!

  35. Michael Malloy on January 20, 2023 at 8:43 am

If people like these being interviewed were only as interested in cleaning up the garbage and all the trash and debris people dump in the river and washes into the river instead of worrying about boats that are sunk and other worthless junk the world would be a better place they need to clean that crap out of there while the water is down

  36. Dr. Evil on January 20, 2023 at 8:43 am

So maybe we should use this opportunity to remove it instead of leaving it to pollute the river further.
