State of Washington doesn’t want anyone having any fun!! All they care about is money in their pocket . worst place I’ve live in my life. Its a beautiful place but the government bull shit is joke!

Good news everyone!! Got my hpa for Cape Dissapointment APPROVED today!! It is possible. See my previous comment. Only trouble I had at all was getting Ecology to communicate. Once I accomplished that it was smooth sailing. Good luck and heavy pans everyone!!

That would tickle me to death 😉 They have reserved the entire beach for you!! Find yourself an orange road cone and a high volumn bilge hand pump. Turn the road cone upside down (make a stand for it) and fit an inch or inch and a quarter pvc pipe in the bottom about 2 inches inside and hook your bilge pump to the bottom. When you pump you will create a pulse up into the cone, starting from that 2 inches of pvc, holding the heavys and tossing out the lighter black sand over the top. Then you need a seat and 4 or 5 buckets of black sand and pump with your left and feed with your right. Every 4 buckets, stop and rest and take that concentrated black sand home from the cone. 4 buckets of that concentrate and you will be back in the beach mining business!!!! I would suggest your take will increase as you can concentrate faster than with a battery pump!! Pulse jets work very well!!! 2 people can really do well as one can pump and the other feed the cone. Screw the politicians!!!!!

  4. @Chuxgold on December 7, 2023 at 8:56 am

Just concentrate the sand before putting it in the bucket. Could use a large gold pan or a hand rocker for that and put two or three buckets in one. Been thinking about working the beach this year with a Micro washplant I’ve designed around the rockerbox design of seperation through specific gravity.

Also I need to ask if you have seen the ribbons of gold on the beach. As if you look at the sand with the sun infrount you and low 9n the hurision. You can see them only then. But only on a reseeding tide right where the waves can’t reach no more. And it only last a little while until the sand dries a bit and shifts the surface as it settles so then it can’t be seen no more. But for a moment it looks like a solid layer if viewed from the right angle with the light casting on it. And I believe it is caused by a static charge of the water running out inbetween the iron. With the last waves depositing the gold in the odd ripples the static produces.

  7. @josephnewman9175 on December 7, 2023 at 9:01 am

They don’t want us doing anything! Well whoever they are screw em! I have one life and I don’t have time to worry about what people want me to do or not to do. The people who think they know what’s best for our river’s and forests do as they please by putting up dams and running motors anywhere they please and I can’t do small scale mining. They don’t even use the forests but they want us out for no reason!

Excellent video. Would the new regulations prohibit speed panning on the beach with a gold pan into a panning tub and then just taking the rough panning concentrates home to work further with a Gold Cube or cleanup highbanker? By speed panning I mean using a 15 inch Garrett pan and saving the cons when you get down to say one quarter of the Garrett pan volume. Or am I missing something obvious about the new regulations? Thank you for sharing.

If you send an email to ecology requesting info on how to apply for an NPDES permit…OR A LETTER STATING THAT NO PERMIT IS REQUIRED…they will give you the letter. PROVIDED, no chemicals…ie jet dry…and no discharge DIRECTLY to "state waters". That will suffice for your HPA application.

I’ve been wondering, because I found a beach spot outside of Tillamook where I live with concentrated black sands. I did a 1.5 cup sample pan and it had 12 flour pieces. I’m wondering if there is a way to run a gold cube or sluice system into tubs and feed it water manually with buckets. Like create a shoot on top or something. Or with a gavity fed hose and then remove water from tailings tub before it hits the beach. It’s a spot you can drive to, so you could load a water tank in the back of a truck

The state definitely put the brakes on hard . It is a shame Thay couldn’t have just informed the existing regulations . I hate digging a big hole and not being able to suck off the bottoms leaves me not wanting to go out as much . I still have dredges but not a lot of hope. The regs were thought-out and if followed Thay made the impact next to none . Thanks for the vids. I never made it out to the beach but I have heard some stories of success and some of people not following the gold and fish pamphlet

  29. @philipmorphew6301 on December 7, 2023 at 9:26 am

Arnold Schwarzenegger(R) Governor of California Banned dredges sometime ago in CA.

People far away make laws where no man can stay ? We fought wars in far away lands to protect our homeland, only to lose freedom we fought for others lands while we lost our land

  34. @michaeldowns5270 on December 7, 2023 at 9:34 am

Washington prospectors need a lobbyist to fight the Green New Deal Cult! Collecting minerals and prospecting is way over regulated. So is fishing and hunting and camping! The WA State Governmental Empire has lost its way and follows the Ecoterrorist Sierra Club for resources advise, which is "keep man out" at all costs. There are other mining clubs around that may add to the legal resources needed. United, maybe the real science can win one or two.

  35. @owenoehrling8947 on December 7, 2023 at 9:36 am

I heard that there is a market for the beach black sand from Washington . : Tatara is a traditional furnace used for smelting iron and steel. In this clay vessel, a charcoal fire is started and, over the next few days, several layers of charcoal and iron sand are added. When the furnace cools down, the clay tube is broken and what remains at the bottom is steel bloom known as kera. If kera is large enough and if the craftsmen maintained the correct temperature, it contains a small amount of bright silvery alloy called tamahagane (which translates into “round and precious steel like a gem.

  36. @frankbyrd6726 on December 7, 2023 at 9:37 am

I have been holding out on an invention that should be able to concentrate hundreds of gallons of sand in an hour, this kind of suck now I have to make it manual that’s fine it will still work.

  42. @416Rival on December 7, 2023 at 9:42 am

I could understand perhaps for water pumps using gas but small battery operated marine pumps seem insignificant to me in terms of impact, Unfortunate. I’m from Ontario CA and even I’d like to see at least battery operated pumps back on the beach, I enjoy the content a lot and plan to get out and do the same thing on the other side of the water this summer.

So.. the Democrats in charge want: everyone smoking legalized pot, not able to defend themselves against criminals, to indoctrinate public school kids with CRT and grooming theory… and they want to control your ability to generate money without government oversight. Obviously… don’t vote Democrat…

Also, any special permits for out-of-staters?
