Panthers Losing Streak Now At Three After Being Shut Out 3-0 To Nashville. Is It Time To Panic?
On today’s edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brings in Nich Fairbanks(@prudentia0) for another edition of Fairbanks Friday. The Florida Panthers without Aleksander Barkov, Dmitry Kulikov, and Aaron Ekblad could not find their mojo on Thursday night as the Predators played a complete 60-minute game on the Panthers’ white out night, resulting in a 3-0 loss at home. Florida was having a hard time getting time in the offensive zone and even with multiple attempts to put the lines in a blender, they were unable to create a spark on the night. Florida had a hard time protecting the middle and left Sergei Bobrovsky out to dry as all three goals by the Predators came from close range, being outworked on their puck battles and Nashville overwhelming Florida with their forecheck. The guys give their three stars and when they thought the game was lost. Is it time to panic? Is Thursday’s game the worst loss of the season? Maurice wanting speed on the rush. if only Panthers had young players with speed that could’ve been on the roster for months gaining chemistry. hmm oh well.
Armando , I do think Maurice has been awkwardly chill about the team’s performances prior to last night . He came across as a coach with not much urgency which is really out of character for him imo. last night we obviously saw that change. Ironically , I brought this exactly thing up on Spaces last night to see what people thought about Maurice’s reactions as of late … Worst game = last night . Technically and systematically there were other games just as bad but timing here is critical .

Nick it’s time to hit panic button right now. I guarantee another blowout against the Rangers on Saturday. Carolina is going to the final. Why you ask. They finish their games, score when needed, and have that chip we used to have.
The one excuse that could be made is the team was very in flux even more than usual. Different players on completely different lines playing with totally different players, it takes time to create chemistry with lines. A couple of big guys were out so all the lines had to be jumbled up in new ways. They certainly could have played harder but it def takes time to form chemistry with brand new line mates. If this same game happens multiple times after all our big guys are back and the lines are restored back to somewhat normal then we should start worrying
In recent memory so far, def the worst game of the season. No grit and no effort and depth on this on
they did not play with any effort they just skated around, they are saving for the playoffs. But it looks bad.
We need to see Maurice do something like throw a chair I hope the new additions haven’t disrupted chemistry??
