  19. Aaron on November 24, 2023 at 8:31 am

Call me crazy but putting cash money in a "glass jar" and burying it, is not that smart. Condensation, breakable glass, on and on. I certainly doubt John Dillinger was stupid. I believe the jars were a decoy to through would be thieves off. Whooped de do !! They found a shell primer and broken glass jars. Where’s all this treasure this guys supposed to be looking for, that he never finds, in every episode ? Then they try to fascinate us with b.s.

    Hey

  24. Helen Wilks on November 24, 2023 at 8:35 am

John Dillinger was a hero to many people. My grandparents helped hid him in their home.

  25. Justice78 on November 24, 2023 at 8:35 am

My dad has proof our bloodline is in fact related to John Dillinger so there are alot of Dillinger relatives out there that are biologically related

  26. Douglas Hall on November 24, 2023 at 8:36 am

Having photos of the existing buildings on that property during the time that Dillinger was alive and traveling there. Would be a major help and locating any buried objects. And with a photo of the buildings you to be able to have a better view of the property and areas to prospect, explore.

🔹Additional Information on Buried Jars of Money and Papers:
🔹Money buried in the late 19th and early 20th Century was overwhelmingly buried in Fruit Jars, and they had lids with a porcelin type inner layer and what I surmise as a Pewter metal lid.

🔺These elements would be a safer storage for paper money, letters/papers, and coins. Metal and Wood boxes would decay and werent airtight.

✳️ My Mother often talked about her Great Aunt, a quite wealthy woman, having buried money in jars, and she was convinced that one was paved over when they built a road through the era, after the Aunt had passed.

The subject offers those whom enjoy metal detecting potentials of discovery of old buried jars.

However, many may be buried too deep for a signal, because when they dug to bury the jar, they would have placed them 12 inches or more in depth, often close to a location marker, (tree, Rock, building, etc), and in time dirt and debris woukd have added layers to the spot, particularly in areas where the wind assists the build-up depth of buried jars close to corners or walls.

🔹I would suggest patience and being "Conscious in Thought" to dig avoiding damage, to rescan for depth, and to always scan again after find. It isnt uncommon to retrieve a coin and when rescanning, ore signals unearth more objects, including "Coin Spills", "Hordes" the true Treasure finds that delight all whom enjoy Metal Detecting.

Enjoy your Explorations and Discoveries safely!

  34. Ferocious Gustafson on November 24, 2023 at 8:45 am

Why would anyone bury their treasure? Spend that. Get some property. Pimps buy jewellery, they don’t hide cash.

  35. MJ MK on November 24, 2023 at 8:45 am

    Hi

  42. Ferocious Gustafson on November 24, 2023 at 8:55 am

Why do I like Josh Gates? He’s kind of dorky, not very engaging, but I’ll watch him all day. Must be indescribable charisma.

  43. Scrap iron on November 24, 2023 at 8:56 am

    Another oak island

  44. Dalton Fox on November 24, 2023 at 8:58 am

    Could be under a rock

  45. Douglas Hall on November 24, 2023 at 8:58 am

Once something is buried, sometimes people put large slab of rock over what is buried. And over time the ground covers those sites. Nature always takes back her own.

  46. Lise Ouellet on November 24, 2023 at 8:59 am

    I enjoyed every moment ☺

  47. Darth Daddy on November 24, 2023 at 8:59 am

What if he hid the money under the boulders? They were his markers and protection for the stuff they buried.

  48. Scrap iron on November 24, 2023 at 9:01 am
