Skullbone Country Store – A Lost Treasure – Stories and Memories of the Past.
Skullbone Country Store – A Lost Treasure – Stories and Memories of the Past.
Come with me on the backroads of Tennessee’s and visit one of the best country stores in the state. Located in the Kingdom of Skullbonia, Gibson County Tennessee, 4 Shades Bridge Road. A tribute to the past owners, Landon and Ruby Hampton. A lost treasure. Closed after 55 years of dedicated service to the community. I tell the story of the owners and the past memories of visiting the store over the years. A very unique place to visit and see history. A legend among country stores.

I just found out that it was purchased by Ruby’s grandson and he is fixing the building and will be reopening in the near future.
Sad to hear it’s closed 🙁 I do have a license plate from there.
Many years I working at Skullbone music Park with Allen, They were always really nice folks!
You brought a tear to my eye… and made me care about a place I’ve never been. You are a gifted story teller. Well done.
Great video Dave.
At one time there where many little country stores like this one. It’s just a shame they have just about all gone by the way side.
Wish I knew about it before it closed. I live in Medina and could have made a quick trip up there. Thanks for making this video!
Maybe someone will open it back up. We need these old stores
