Southwest Idaho weather: triple-digit temps to return

BOISE — Southwesterly flow into Idaho will continue to bring hot air and a little moisture for afternoon clouds to build into widely scattered thunderstorms again, mainly for the mountain areas, and some could become strong enough to produce areas of brief heavy rainfall, gusty winds and possible hail.

Friday and Saturday will be much the same, with mostly sunny conditions in the Treasure Valley and highs in Boise in the low to mid 90’s. Temperatures will back off slightly Sunday to near 90 degrees. But high pressure will expand north from the Desert Southwest next week to push our temperatures up to the triple digits for several days. Highs in the Treasure Valley will range from 100-103° from about Tuesday through Friday.
