The Hunt For The Royal Charter's Sunken Treasures | Shipwreck Of Gold | Unearthed History

On October 26th, 1859, during the final stretch of its voyage from Melbourne to Liverpool, the Royal Charter met its tragic fate in the midst of one of the most severe storms to ever strike Britain. The toll in terms of lives lost was staggering, and equally staggering was the value of gold carried by the ship, amounting to $130 million. This fortune, initially discovered in Australia, was subsequently lost to the depths of the sea. Presently, Vince Thurkettle, renowned as a world champion in the field of gold hunting, is driven by a mission: to reclaim the long-lost treasure of the Royal Charter.

The joy of finding a ring or anything that you can discover from a shipwreck, then going to the distant relative to show them something that belonged to a family member is also amazing.

The narrator making condescending comments about whoever sleeps in steerage, assuming they all gamble and hang out with rats next to stinky restrooms is Soo typical of the same exact type of Asshoels Douchebags that decide they should all perish while ppl in first class live. Nothing has changed whatsoever you still judge ppl assuming they don’t deserve anything good in life if they can’t afford first class tickets.
I bet the narrator himself can’t afford first class tickets to fly anywhere on any of the top ten expensive airlines today. Douchebag

If he was mauled , then he was raising them to fight. Pit Bulls are the best pets and family dogs. If they maul they were being taught that.

Factual error: Britain did not pay off any debt to America either for the times it attacked us, or the times we saved it. interest and inflation means we received nothing.

What a wonderful video loved watching every minute of it. Having had 1 ancestor who arrived here in South Australia, then went to the Bendigo goldfields where it is believed he was murdered it was so interesting to watch this. Luckily he had a huge family back in South Australia or I wouldn’t be here now, He and his large family came from Thaxted, Essex . Loved this story. Thank you.

Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ."
Mrs Richards: "It’s not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?…"
Mrs Richards: "Don’t be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it’s over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I’m not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa’s not erupting at the moment ?"
