    I was recently clearing out an antique store and came across this old axe head in a frame that says "found near the site of the lost blue bucket mine." It’s the only thing out of the clear out that I kept.

    Where to begin…this story has so many details completely wrong…using an auto-bot voice-getting locations wrong-this story teller has never been to Oregon. The real account is pretty clear about what happened. And this story is so far off.

    Story I heard was kids sent out to fetch water, when they got to camp the gold was discovered in the bottom of the bucket. I did some research on this and found the creek mentioned, claims on all the shelfs above the creek both sides. The bloody trail it was called, the oxens feet cut by the volcanic rocks left a red trail thru the bush
