The Lost Confederate Gold – A&E Treasure
The Lost Confederate Gold – A&E Treasure
Treasure hunters look for three quarters of a million dollars in gold and silver that many believe Confederate President Jefferson Davis hid in Georgia right before the end of the Civil War.
Timcast is now taking up these mysterious and I can hardly wait to see what they uncover.
This was gold stolen by the Confederate leadership. E.P. Alexander convinced some of the thieves to turn over the gold for the benefit of rebel widows, orphans, and maimed veterans. They turned over a small sum of money, most of it worthless Confederate paper money. Confederate cabinet member Robert Toombs coughed up $5K in gold he claimed someone threw into his backyard in Richmond Va. The rest of the gold was divided up among the rebel govt. officials. Widows, orphans, and invalid veterans be damned.
I heard that it was in Florida
Thanks for sharing 👍
All of this is misinformation. The trail has been found, along with a Confederate coin. Follow Pritchard…

The Confederate gold was "lost" in the pockets of Jefferson Davis, his friends, and his cabinet members. The moral fiber of the South. None of it benefited Confederate veterans, widows, and orphans.

I wish the Historians would look at 1828 -32 and the Morrell act is what started this war ???
