I took my family to the Gardens a few years ago to take a look around. We walked the beach from the stage area to the back of the E. Gardens. I brought with us some photos and drawings of beach erosion done by some researchers over the past decades. Unfortunately, the beach used to be much deeper back when The Secret was written. The beach is dramatically different now, demonstrated rather starkly by how the brick gate is now versus what it looks like in photos from when the book was written. It is highly unlikely that the tree with exposed roots looked like that 40 years ago. Many people agree, myself included that the solution given here is 95% correct. The problem is the end game, finding the exact dig location, which happens to be 5% too short. I agree with many people that the exact dig location was unfortunately lost to beach erosion long ago. It was probably on the north side of a tree that looked like the tree presented here. It’s just long gone. The question is whether a solution submitted to the organization that runs the search would ever accept a 95% solution or only accept recovered casks. Nonetheless, my kids had a blast pouring over the imagery and verse and actually going on a real treasure hunt, even if I would not let them dig on the beach.

It’s inland close to the plane north

Great solve! I live a couple hours north of Roanoke Island and went to Fort Raleigh and the Elizabethan gardens a couple months ago. I was looking around the water gate area to see if the casque was maybe exposed in all of the erosion that’s been happening. I did notice this tree but didn’t think much if it. I put my Fessenden solve up on FB for all to see. I could see the casque being buried at the entrance to North End Park – obviously theres no "looking north at the wing" from where I’m suggesting.

When are you going to post videos for the others if you are going to do so

I think you are spot on. I believe the fingers of the scarecrow just outside the frame is referring to the box being located just outside the property line of the Gardens. The tree roots are the best solve for the skirt I’ve seen so far. Excellent work!!

I never dedicated much time to Roanoke but the short of it is all firsts are milestones aka stone markers. Plane and bubble holding up creature weighed down by plumb bob has to consider weight. For the English, I worked there for almost a year, the unit for a persons weight is the Stone.
Flower for English means a mothers love.
Oz clues all lead to Dark Forest scene ( I know of actual literal locations but think figurative) is about courage , signing Lions and Tigers and bears. Cowardly lion scene.
The Virginia Dare stone marker ( a marker informs is always touched to create and placed but then is designed to be seen.) Mentions her mother but it uses Eleanor White not the name that she had when she gave birth to Virginia as DARE.
DARE, DAUNTLESS and courage. Stage wing due north. Talks of paths that beckons but its just a descriptive of a path the marker is on. It doesn’t ask you to take it. Visitor center lot is also a circle and square so you don’t have to go to the garden for that. Just remember White should be DARE. White is her maiden name a chauvinistic way to give her weight to associate her with her governor dad.
Dorothy was told she had the power to get home all along.
So a milestone yet to be achieved for woman when that marker was placed 1896. They didn’t need chivalry or chauvinism.
So The original Dauntless saying was for the British Lion so fierce and valiant in bygone days, so dauntless and unconquerable through all the agony of Armageddon. So courage and a literal Wright Bros. general verification fluff for verse sake.
