Great job, Solomon! You did find a lot of great garnets! Were you in Riley County, Kansas? If so, the black was ilmenite from kimberlite, and that was the source of the garnets as well. I found all of those intrusions 30 years ago when I lived in Knasas. I searched The Stockdale Intrusion and found a lot of garnet and ilmenites. But, of course, no diamonds. Which intrusions were you at? Was it the Winkler?

I would LOVE to find some garnets and have a necklace or earrings made from garnets to honor my Mom. The Garnet was my Mom’s birthstone. She passed away at the age of 74 on September 3, 2020.
    Thanks for sharing!

at a headwater to that creek, you should be able to find 100 – 200 pounds of gold. as garnet is a very common gem found with AU.

Does any of this have value? I obviously know nothing

Your Muddy Miner saruccas did a great job isolating the garnets.
