The curse of the Saco River is 100% true 5 white men die a year. The only time when this number dropped to 1 is back in the 50s to the 80s. I have been living right next to the Saco River my whole life. The stories about it are true

Hi
I just move to Maine
I’ve been to the grave of the witch killer and it’s TRUE there is a stocking imprint on it ๐ ๐
Furbush cemetery. September 1968. It was a dare. There was no tire. The kid was lowered down until he began to scream. His buddies thought it was funny until he stopped. When they got him up he had passed out. One of the kids went to get their parent…needless to say the boy was brought to St. Mary’ hospital in Lewiston, this was before they had a child/adolescent psych ward. The boy recovered but would never talk about what he saw. He struggled with substance and mental health issues periodically through his early adulthood. Which is where I met him while working at the hospital. He’s actually doing fine now. He’s in recovery and is stable, has a family and his own business. BUT…he WILL NOT talk about what he saw and usually dismisses the topic. I only know this little bit because I asked him once…but he didn’t go into any details. From what I learned the well was filled in during the summer of 1969 or 70…
I have three dogs

My ex fiance was in a wheelchair due to spina bifida and went to Pine Tree camp which sat on North Pond they used to tell urban legend stories about the North Pond hermit and then imagine their surprise he was caught on camera by being set up by the new camp director sitting things on a picnic table with the sign that said for the North Pond hermit
