As someone who has roots from ms but wasn’t born here. I would live here over 98% of the rest of the states. It’s not the best here but it’s a lot better than everywhere else I’ve been. I’m sorry you hate this beautiful state so much

I was on a road trip,from England, to see civil war battlefields in May- June 2022.Visited Vicksberg, Natchez and loads of places in between The people were so friendly, could understand my accent- sometimes. A couple of times I was asked had we heard of Natchez and Chattanoga. TN,respectively in England?? The lady at Walmart Chattanoga simply was astonished we had heard of her city. The people in the south were so nice to us,unlike St Louis. I did find the No Soliciting sign, at the Walmart gas station in Chattanoga a bit different , to England

I grew up in Mississippi in Charleston. I’m now worth 22,000,000 and live close to Memphis. I have a lot of kids around Mississippi but I was able to change my name and now I don’t have to worry about feeding those freaks and their low iq mamas.

I have lived in Mississippi for the majority of my entire life and I I now in my mid 40s. My home town on the gulf coast is a toilet but it’s my toilet and I will defend with my last breath.

The majority of this is a lie. I live in MS and have been to many of these towns. I currently live in Stone county and it’s booming. Good people lots of development and I have never seen bums walking around like in other states

Being a lifelong resident of Mississippi, these are completely inaccurate and only based on education and poverty level. Our state has WAY worse areas, and we are one of the most caring states possible. The reason why poverty is so high is because we all help and assist one another, grow our own foods, and stick together. We may be poor in finance, but we are rich in love!

Passed through Mississippi a few times over the years and seen some the most wretched impoverished looking towns I ever saw in my life and I’ve been to all fifty states and last time I stopped at a coffee shop in some flyspeck town getting off the highway and some hog jowled farm boys were trying to start a fight with me with some smart ass talk when I was very quietly minding my own business. I just asked for my food to go and the waitress gave me a look that she felt sorry. Last time I ever traveled through that wretched state.

MS has loads of history with county and clues. It’s also on the black music circuit. We also have one of the biggest universities in the entire state. We also have extremely wealthy neighborhoods, country clubs, golf course, and the Rock. It just seems you like to pick up on the worst Hattiesburg has to offer like MS is the worst place in the US. Hattiesburg is leaps and bounds ahead of small towns and cities in the South,
