Treasures of the Franklin Mountains
Treasures of the Franklin Mountains
3 legends that tell about hidden treasure in the rocky banks of the Franklin Mountains. Daniel and I went treasure hunting for the lost padre mine and this is what we found.
Huh. I grew up in El Paso and had never heard of that legend. Bizarre.
Daniel Marin….dont you get paid good at ch. 9 to be able to buy some nice hiking boots to be able to go hiking up there ???
I’ve been all over that mountain and gotta tell you the only treasure o found was an amazing view but that’s about it .
You have to wait for a rainfall. When the rainbow touches the franklins grab the leprechaun and he’ll show you where the gold is.
I grew up there in the 1970’s and we went up on the mountain all the time. I didn’t know you needed permission?? Is that semi-new? We found some big caverns, but nothing in them. Looking back I’m surprised we never ran into rattle snakes.
No matter the topic, I love watching views of the Franklin Mountains.
I think I know where the mine is. Me and my friends used to hike up the mountains all the time. We found certain things that are strange up there. Of course, you got your satanic graffiti. We found a chair that we assumed was from the crashed plane. And a weird spot we’re the mine mite be but I’m not telling, ha!
