Southwest is the border. Northern Arizona isn’t though

As a local on the border, I must admit as much as I enjoy your stories, I cringe at some of your pronunciations… "Papago" is pronounced ‘papa’ (like a father) and ‘go’ (like stop and go.) "Papa-go." And "Saric" is pronounced like ‘Sare’ (like Sarah) and ‘ick’ (like sick) "Sare-ick." Babaquivari is kind of a tough one. You’re not alone getting it wrong. It’s ‘Bah-bah’ (like a baby saying bottle) ‘key’ (like key) ‘va’ (like ya) ‘ree’ (like see) "bah bah key va ree." Placer is pronounced with a soft A, not a hard A. "Plass-er." Amazingly, you got the name of my home, Arivaca, right.

By the way, I’ve got a treasure tale for you… I guarantee you’ve never heard this one, but it’s absolutely true. It takes place in the 1980s, involving an old prospector squatting on federal land, a juicy vein of gold and a lack of permits with the forest service. Get ahold of me privately and I’ll share the details with you.
