A lot of the 19th & 20th Centuries dowsed for gold to locate the placer and lode precious metal deposits. Advance beyond the old timers by learning the physics involved in dowsing with the modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod by reading the book, The Art of Dowsing – Separating Science from Superstition. Have a safe, healthy, good day.

I have what can only be referred to as an interesting relationship with this entire area.
I have walked the stretch from Sandy Beach to the Cyanide plant and the workings above that area at least 1000 times, and the area from The lower workings of the Mexican mine all the way out to the Mineral Queen around 200 times.
I lived in a small cabin on one of the claims around the 600’ elevation level for a number of years and this entire area was my backyard of sorts.
Thank you for producing a factual, good quality video and using proper photos from ATGMCo’s history.

I used to live on Douglas Island and I heard that Sandy Beach is a result of the mining

It’s crazy looking at the cave in site back then, the whole area has been reclaimed by nature. When I lived in Douglas I moved there coincidentally on the 100th anniversary of the cave in and there was a little ceremony, noting the only casualties were some Horses and Mules.
