Well, one thing is for certain, and that is if the F.B.I. did indeed confiscate the gold in question, it most likely is gone forever along with any video evidence of the gold or it’s location.
Many things seem odd about this whole story. I don’t understand how the father/son team figured out where to look for the gold. Once they did find it, why did they make the discovery public ? The fact the FBI even took the time to investigate is proof they felt the claim was possibly legitimate.
What I can’t understand is why the hell would you tell ANYONE if you think you found anything like that? And I do mean anyone.if you ever come across finding anything monetary, Shut your mouth, and keep it to yourself. If you run your mouth, You’re just asking for trouble. 🤦
The gold is government property. FBI is doing what they do best. Lying and delaying for no justifiable reason.
The FBI is as bad as the KGB, if not worse. Because at least the KGB did not pretend to support freedoms such as those protected by the US Constitution.
Takes time to create new and fake files. You have to age not only the paper but the ink must be appropriate to the time period and be aged as well. Takes a lot of time and effort to do it. Anyway, hope we find out, eventually

KGC mostly buried their treasure in the midwest and southern states. They also operated out in North Carolina and the Virginias. Jefferson Davis knew the Union troops were surrounding him. I think he buried some of the Confederacy gold in Augusta, GA.

I could see why they would have went North. That would have been a somewhat safe travel route at that time. Clearfield County just to the South was notorious for the Copperhead movement. So was the county South of there Cambia and the Copperheads were along the Southern border all the way to Philadelphia. The Copperheads in Clearfield were really anti govt and against the war. A lot of the men who were drafted refused to go. I remember reading somewhere that the first draft resulted in only 150 out of 600 men showing up. Eventually it got so bad that they sent in federal troops. Look up Bloody Knox in Clearfield County and that will give a little backstory.
If the FBI, or anyone, removed 9 tons of gold there would be a record , or locals recollections of this happening. That’s too much weight to go unnoticed. Maybe 900 lbs, but no way 9 tons.

He robbed banks and trains to help fund the South to rise again. It’s been said that he buried some of that gold for his own purpose without the south knowing of this action. It’s widely known that the FBI is as corrupt as they can be, there is even talk going around in Congress to permanently shut down the FBI and jail certain people who work there for their crimes.

Just yesterday I heard about this story. It made me think of being about 10 years old and out of school for the summer, and reading a great book on a cool rainy day. Great video, thank you.
After their own ground scans, the FBI was convinced there was something there. They staged two teams and the plan was to dig only to a certain depth the first day and call it quits as soon as they reached that depth. They reached it very early in the day and were relieved of duty early. The smaller night team went in to guard the areas (or so that’s what the daytime agents were told), but in reality, they were there to complete the extraction and transport it under cover of darkness. This was partly due to security concerns.. and did not want a media circus. The father and son team needed to be kept away from the site in the off-chance that something was uncovered during the initial dig. They could not come up with a believable reason to do so..so we just went with "for your safety". Overnight, almost at dawn, trucks departed, carrying it away. The daytime team later returned only to realize that someone else got the privilege of removing it and was given the "national security" speech. However, as is typical history of the government and found treasure, some people foresaw this whole situation and set up numerous deer cameras high up on trees. Once all the commotion died down, they were retrieved at night and there is more video evidence of what actually occurred.. luckily the entire area was well lit for the night operation. Expect this to be presented in court if the need arises.. but the way I see this playing out is that a judge will review the reasons for the secrecy and will order documents released.. and also be miffed about the agency suddenly finding their own photos and videos..
