We were NOT expecting to find this! Treasure HUNTing in the "Moved to Hawaii" locker

Locker Nuts episode 590

So far, I’ve only taken home a van full of stuff form the locker that the prior owner sold me after moving to Hawaii. Now I’m back with my trailer and some help from Mason, ready to grab the rest of this packed 10×15 unit. Even though this was a private party deal, and we weren’t expecting any surprises or treasures, this episode changes our mind. This is an exciting can’t-miss episode of Locker Nuts!
This is part 4 of the “Moved to Hawaii” locker series.

The picture on the back of the Danish cabinet says ‘Plinth and door handel pattern protected under no. 35980 and patent pending’. It is a typical danish cabinet from around the 1960, looks to be teak. Woul be interesting to find out who the maker is (haven’t seen the whole episode yet).. KR Jane (danish)

Alaska wasn’t a state yet in 1920- that Anchorage coin might have been a type of currency.

Sometimes costume jewelry cost more than real jewelry. Growing up my grandma dealt in jewelry gold and costume jewelry and sometimes the old costume jewelry cost more than regular jewelry depending on what it was and how fancy it was

Sales was a high end jewelry store in the south. Double check anything in a sales box.

The bear skins are absolutely hideous, a sign of the cruel and primitive mindset that still pervades through rather too much of the culture of the modern USA

    Check the rosary:
750 Italy has two parts of representation within its name.

First off, the 750 is the representation of the purity of the gold used within a piece of jewelry. It is a small number engraved on gold jewelry to tell what Karat or percentage of pure gold is used.

750 means that the jewelry is 18 Karat gold. Real golden jewelry will almost always have numbers engraved on them. However, there are also lots of scammers who stamp fake pieces of jewelry themselves, so don’t automatically think that a stamped piece means it’s authentic.

Most engravings are hidden on jewelry to not ruin the look but can be found mainly on claps (for necklaces and bracelets) or the interior circle (for rings).

Other numbers stamped into jewelry can include 585 (14k gold), 417 (10k gold), 999 (24k gold), and other stamps depending on the amount of pure gold within the piece.

Secondly, Italy is the country where the piece was manufactured. So, if you have a piece of jewelry stamped 750 Italy, this means it is crafted from 18k gold sourced from Italy.

I lobe that MCM cabinet 😍

"They call me the seeker" is from a song by The Who. The purple stone in the ring could be Alexandrite if the ring is gold. It is much more valuable.

  30. Christa Nolde on March 29, 2023 at 5:27 pm

The Danish writing, means that the bottom part and the door handles are patented under nr 35980
