What's Happening in Daytona Beach September 2023
Welcome to What’s Happening in Daytona for the month of September! I’m going to share 5 fun events that are happening here in our area, but don’t be afraid to leave a comment with a fun event that you know about! Let’s get started.
1. Down Under District Labor Day County Music Festival: Happening all Labor Day weekend long, you can enjoy live country music, delicious food from Jimmy Hula’s and great drinks at Dunes Brewing, plus get great views of the Intracoastal! They’ll also have a beachside market and a food truck rally happening that you can enjoy. The Down Under District is located “down under” the North side of the Dunlawton bridge here in Port Orange and there will be plenty of parking available!

2. If you love a good RomCom, you won’t want to miss the showing of 13 Going on 30 at the Casements in Ormond Beach at 8:00 pm. Watch the story unfold as 13 year old Jenna makes a wish on her birthday and wakes up as a 30 year old woman. So, pack some snacks, a blanket or chairs and come enjoy a night at movies right on the Halifax River. The Casements is located at 25 Riverside Drive in Ormond Beach. Just keep in mind that the movie is rated PG-13 and the event is free to attend.
3. Daytona Beach Boat Show: Come find the boat of your dreams at the boat show happening at the Daytona Beach Ocean Center from September 8th through the 10th. There will be over 70 vendors there and over 300 boats for you to browse, from bay boats to skiffs to smaller vessels like jet skis, there’s something for everyone. General admission is $5 and kids 12 and under are free. The Ocean Center charges $15 for parking, but if you don’t mind to walk a bit, try to grab one of the free parking spaces along Main Street!
4. Pirates and Princess Party: If you’ve got some kiddos who loves pirates or princesses, head to the splash pad at Tanger Outlets on September 20th from 10 am until 12 pm for this fun swashbuckling event. This event is free to attend and everyone is welcome! Do a pirate and princess meet and greet, enjoy live music, a treasure hunt, face painting and more. And, if you come dressed as a pirate or a princess, you’ll win an extra prize!
5. Rose Bay Cardboard Boat Regatta: Hidden Treasure’s Port Orange location is once again hosting the 10th annual regatta located on Rose Bay. Build your own boat and paddle your way to some awesome prizes. There are rules on how you are allowed to build your boat and you need to register to race, so click here to learn more. https://hiddentreasurerestaurants.com/regatta/
The party starts at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 23rd and the race begins at 3:00 pm. Even if you’re not competing, come out and cheer on your favorite crew, grab some great grub and drinks and enter to win some of the raffle prizes!
