So what makes you determine Where your going to go? And once you get there where do you dig in the creek? How deep do you dig in one spot. these would be some of the questions I would be asking if I were just starting out and watching your videos. Because I tell you my first year getting back into gold Prospecting in Iowa was very bleak. But since then with thousands of hours of research most places that I pick now are for certain reasons and they are some very good spots. As a prospector’s/miner I am still learning I watch a plethora of other prospectors videos I belong to a few online journals like ICMJ. I am always researching new locations with the things I’ve learned in the past. You just about can go anywhere in Iowa and find one or two specs in a pan.. Prospecting is all about learning, and it’s a continual process.

When I went down there I was laughing because I could see holes where people were digging. That creek grossed me out big time, it was full of squishy bugs. I’ll pass on weird bugs. I brought back some material in a bucket from way down the creek, haven’t panned it yet. 😁

    Cool transition I thought of.
Go to street view in the map and then when it gets there, show the actual video of the park

But also great video too 🙂

I am from Iowa but over by Sioux City. How do you pick a spot to start digging? I really want to try panning and have my kids try it. But I have no idea where to find a good spot in my area or know how to find a good spot. Are there any good resources you could recommend?
