   Hey Jess, im over in Wisconsin. There is a bedrock type called Quartzite and i have narrowed it down to be the best location for prospecting. What i find interesting is that this bedrock type encompasses alot of Federal forests where they dont want you to prospect. Weird…

   i kno a hole in southrn wi so much black sand. a huge boulder broke in half and fell into and across this area floods every yr and makes the perfect catch. that being said still have not prospect the spot. takes roughly an hour by canoe. down streem maybe ill get out thr this yr.

    What sucks about Wi. is even if you own the land, you do not own the mineral rights, they are retained by the state.

    Question, my home is on top of a glacial deposit in Waukesha Co Wi
    (Just west of Milwaukee Co). I have found a copper nugget as well as quartz. Would it be worth it to look and Pan out? I’ve never heard of anyone finding any in this area
