I’m sorry but why is stuff like the undertake and kanes outfits priced at like 300 bucks and a stick of gum but jyd is worth more like 5 to 8 grand a piece he’s not nearly as iconic
Stood in line in the early 80s at the Field House at Ft. Polk, La to get Ted DiBiase to sign a Polaroid that I had. 15 minutes later, he refused to sign it. Soon in line 10 to see JYD (my all time favorite) he signed one and was super nice
jYD babyy
Vito wrestled in poww entertainment and his brother Pauly also.
The show tries hard to paint wrestling as racist, then shows old footage of thousands of white fans cheering black wrestlers. 🤷♂
I wouldn’t never given that collar up for any amount.
Teddy is actually my neighbor
Is that top dolla? With Booker T?
Crazy to think the collar of JYD was sitting in a gym bag at Indy shows for 13 years
Wow, just wow. I remember meeting JYD outside a local high school he was going to perform in. It was dark already and me and my dad were walking in the parking lot. And my dad goes, "There’s the Junk Yard Dog." We walked over and it was this huge man getting out of this small compact car that I was trying to figure out how he fit in, in the first place. Big smile when he said hi to us. He was one of my favorites as a kid. That must have been 82 or 83, some where around there. I don’t remember seeing the wrestling match that night, but I remember seeing him in the parking lot.
I miss this era, Teddy Long was very entertaining. His managerial feud with Vickie Guarrero was amazing!
Booker T is an amazing dresser what a handsome man!
I loved JYD. That 80’s Golden era was so classic. I always wanted JYD to win the championship belt. A couple of little known facts about him. His real name was Sylvester Ritter. He played football at Fayetteville State University, twice earning honorable mention All-American status, and is a member of the Sports Hall of Fame. He graduated with a political science degree.
And then that guy in Richmond was punished by having to face…THE UNDERTAKAH!!
Think about naming a black man junkyard dog and getaway with it in 2023😂 triple h will be cancelled before he can do at taunt
Booker t was one of my favs growing up.
Teddy was born in Alabama he’s not African American ffs 😆
You couldn’t pay that for Andre mask.
I loved JYD as a kid. I was actually going to get to see him and sadly his dad passed away and he wasn’t able to show. I was so disappointed. I never got to see him wrestle in person.
Hulkmania had us Hooked in the 80’s however , JYD had a wave in the Early – Mid 80’s that had us hooked.
Salute nd R.I.P Sylvester Ritter
😂😂😂 undertaker when he went by his name!!! Lord I feel old!
I grew up with Vito. We went to school together. We were in wrestling and enjoyed watching it. He NEVER told me he had JYD’s collar. I would have loved to see it. I was blown away when I saw him on A&E!!!!! I was all WAIT!!!! WHAT?????😂😂😂 Well done buddy. Congrats!!!!!!🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Them to guys was legends and I’m 31 i love, WCW
"they delt with so much" just say the wrestling industry like every other industry in America is RACIST
that mf tried to say $20K for a dog collar lmao
03:12 I haven’t seen much of young JYD when he was in shape and looked that jacked. I’ve mostly seen older Dawg when he was out of shape and getting towards the end of his career. It’s good the see the young version.
Man booker T looks great. You could tell he didn’t get drugged out and ran down from the industry.
Something fun to see everyone’s places they chose to live after the WWE
Teddy, booker are some legends. Imagine being able to talk wrestling w them for an hour
You know the people that take the cash also get an authentic WWE check to go with their deal. Plus with scanning tech, we don’t even have to lose it to the bank
I’d expect the longer the show goes on the more costly some of these rare memorabilia will start becoming. I’d also expect HHH went after the rarest content first to keep the price down
I met the junkyard dogs back in 96 or 97 at a autograph signing at a Walmart in Riverside California he called me and my brother Bebe’s Kids
He’s buried in a small nondescript cemetery in Wadesboro NC.
Top dolla is funny
Just think about how good jyd was. He was soooo over that he was the top guy in Louisiana and Mississippi in the early 80’s.
Нічого не розумію, так лише кілька слів, але захоплюючо
My first wrestling action figure was JYD from LJN. That’s who us black kids looked up to back then. Booker was right on the money.
booker be smokin smokin LMAO
Seen JYD in the early 80s. I wasn’t even 10 years old yet and still remember.
I would’ve needed Booker T’s crown or his old boots and a pair of tickets to wrestlemania. No way I can sell for cash. 😂
Still thats an amazing story.
Teddy is such an underrated heel. Man I hated his character lol but he is such a chilled dude in real life. Glad the wwe nation gave him a pop

Things were so racist then.. “he was the biggest baby face in the south”
I’d love to see them track down something from the Pontiac Silverdome. WM 3 was so important and now the stadium is gone.
JYD was my favorite wrestler ❤ RIP
He was one of my favorite wrestlers as a kid when he was in Mid south traveling around LA doing shows. Tragically, he was supposed to wrestle at a show I attended & we found out that he’d died.
I think when i went to shows in the 80s. He would get a bigger pop than the guys in the main event match.
Nothing’s more nostalgic than seeing a black man in chains huh
JYD/ Sylvester Ritter died on June 1, 1998, at the age of 45, in a single-car accident on Interstate 20 near Forest, Mississippi, as he was returning home from his daughter LaToya’s high school graduation in Wadesboro, North Carolina. 🙁
Junk yard dog was one of my favorite workers so much that I got the nickname JYD in football and my initials are JY
It was Monday night raw and Thursday night smack down for me lol
