While modern humans have no problem abandoning their children, other critters rarely do without reason. One young cave lion cub was crushed when part of the cave collapsed on him. “Mom” could not rescue him. The other cave lion cub starved to death. Mom didn’t come back, obviously. But mom may have been really badly injured or killed during a hunt or a fight with another predator. Either a much more likely scenario than she decided she didn’t want to be a mom anymore.

And after all them years them animals still look the same as the ones today so when did they start evolving? Or maybe they didn’t So they reproduced after there own kind
