The jewel and gold encrusted object in this video As part of A sword handle it would be located at the very bottom if you look at similar swords of the time You will see that jewel and gold crusted item is one part of a sword handle And not part of a Bishop’s head piece Nor an archbishop’s heagypsies is not even remotely isn’t remotely religious at all.

To be honest, I’m not surprised at all if they find something in their backyard in Rome. This city is probably littered with artifacts and treasures.

  20. Dad Jeff1964 on January 7, 2023 at 10:01 am

That. Oin you called a "dime" from 2880’s, isn’t a dime, its one Red Cent aka Indian Head penny, made of pure copper, which is the reason they turn red. Some of the later Lincoln cent aka Wheatback. They , the Lincoln cents were issued from approx early 1900’s continuing with the Wheat-back until approx 1960 ish, and was changed again to show the Memorial on the reverse continuing up until present time, we have Lincoln pennies today which are now made of a Zinc/Cooper alloy. The Indian head cent began its production run sometime during the mid-1800’s until approx 1910 or so, PLEASE DONT QUOTE ME ON DATES!! I would appreciate the assistance and not receiving flak as a result of some datings that are not quite correct, even tho I should be relatively in the ball-park, happening upon a leaner in horse-shoes, close but no cigar. Not intentionally containing false or misleading info, more likely than not relatively close but not exact. But it is what it is. As I have a bit of knowledge on this subject, being somewhat of an arm-chair Numistmatist, or hobby Numistmatist tomato or tomatoe depending upon your past experiences. I have been interested in, been on the hunt for, up to and including the acquisition/finding as a result of a search or just plain dumb luck and receiving an interesting old coin or several at one time, even some rare, difficult to locate, much less acquire ones as well, helping my "collection" of finds/acquisitions, as the size/amount variety has changed drastically several times throughout my life up to this point, from the worst it could be completely empty, to at a time or two consisting of up to somewhere near 100 coins. And has fluctuated along with my successes and not quite evrents/occurrences that didn’t come close to the idea/plan that began the period. "Ive been thru the Desert on a Horse With no name", ty to the group America for that. At this moment in time my collection consists of approx 60 or so coins, a couple of Silver Dimes, Eisenhowers, 1 Mercury Silver Dime and a couple of Silver Nickles a 1 Silver Quarter, and some 55 or so Wheat-backs. None too significant, but Special to me as I look at them, I travel back into my memories of the moments associated with each coin, where, when, how, each one entered my Sphere of influence/attention, more often than not it was a flash of something out of the corner of my eye, or a different feel or look to my change from a purchase at various stores, most of which being some distance from each other or even right next to each other a few times. Its just something catches my attention or eye, or just feels/is different my alert tone goes off exactly as in the Metal Gear series of games, bells/alarms whistles etc. my nerves get jangled, a peculiar, eerie, weird, strange, insert preferred adjective the all fit, just different/off IDFK know how to try and express a feeling, concept, oddness, whatever, words truly epically fail to convey/illuminate/express/describe what have you. Feelings, emotions, reactions, etc. just the odd circumstances everything included the kitchen sink as well, all combining/mashing/transforming/coalescing into a Chaotic Maelstrom mass/lump/thing that has physical properties and us fully loaded with all the bells and whistles, collapsing similar to the formation of a Black Hole, the twisting, turning, Uberness, indescribable/ethereal/fleeting/flittering/existing as the absolute oneness of a micro-instant of time, that appears, feels, seems, drags on for a serming Eternity, when actually it’s merely a pico-second later. Pico being a microscopically miniscule almost inconsequentially brief its not even noticeable to anyone/thing other than a Super-computer, and can operate within the confines of that period of time. Scientists can describe it mathmatically, by expressing it on/in the Quantum Realm, as an integer, ( number) followed by more zeros than a normal person might see once in their lifetime, as an example that could be somewhat similar, IDFK, I’m not trying to do more than give a ridiculous fictitious totally made up number to give a kind if visual, to accompany the story. ie say
10 x 10 to the y power, like 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 or something similar this being 10 to the 30th power. but these massive/almost incomprehensibly inconceivable small items, which exist in/on the micro-scale ( being unimaginably small to include the size that makes utilizing a Scanning Electron Microscope a massive, super-jumbo-economy size piece if equipment that images and photographs the infinitessimaly small items, like electrons, protons, atoms, particles if differing sizes including oddball sounding and seeming ones, as in a WIMP, an example of a Weakly Interracting Massive Particle, such as the SLIPPERY, ELUSIVE Higgs Boson, which the Large Hadron Collider located in Cern Switzerland has been able to bring into the light of sight recently, during its last run, b4 closing down for needed upgrades/replacements which are going to keep it in upgrade status until, if I remember correctly sometime like way later around 4th quarter of this year. Don’t quote me on time-interval/period, please if issues with my time quite possibly being incorrect. But in my defense, I’m running down at break-neck speed towards unconsciousness/oblivion of unconcoenciosness, ie sleep, being dog tired, positively absolutely worn out, running so far beyond gassed, done for or in, whichever adjective you prefer.

That’s not quite how it went down. The farmer and the hammer.
A detectorist asked for permission to hunt the farm. Then the farmer mentioned a area where he lost his hanmer.
