I’d of loved having chance to find the Mason jars full of $20 gold pieces my ex hubby’s grandpa buried. He had dementia and told nobody where he buried them. But do know he walked someplace from his home.
By this point if anyone else had found them – they’d never tell anyone.
Few shady folks lived in the place, after they’d moved into a trailer behind their daughters house. Their daughter sold the place after her parents died. 😢 But feel my kids being great grandchildren, would love to know what happened to the Jars full of $20 gold coins.

I had a fiance who had buckets of quarters hidden all over his garage when I went to clean up the grease and dirt in his garage. They were stashed under red grease rags in ice cream buckets. When he saw how I did a good job he became furious and yelled at me. Why did I ask myself? I helped he by cleaning up his yard earlier on his three acre plot in a suburb of our city. I found an dried up well. I started to dig when he yelled again to STOP! He made me put the the old wooden boards over the hole. I never did find out his hidden secret. Could he have killed a gal and wanted to hide the body? I found his behavior so overwhelming that I left and never returned to that mad man! Beware of these strange men. He is a gold digger! He cleans a woman out of her earnings then once he realizes he has it all he dumps her and finds another. He s still doing this..

That’s a newer $100 bill. Was this just a pic of dirty cash, or did they actually try 2 pawn it off as a real finding?

  18. fisch on October 12, 2022 at 9:20 am

It’s pronounced Eh-din-bur-uh, not burg. Like how the English pronounce thorough or borough. ‘Ugh’ words make no sense in English, it could be uff, oo, or, ow etc. etc. it’s so silly.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. (Psalms 51:1-4)

Not to be too picky but the examples of people detecting make me laugh. You’ve got a guy swinging his detector and his coil is pointing up to the sky. Every detectorist knows to keep the coil flat and just above the ground. And another is swinging a machine where the cable is loosely wrapped around the shaft. It should be tightly wrapped otherwise the metal in the cable will be picked up by the coil and give false signals. Ok, off of the soapbox!

They should have filmed someone that knows how to swing a metal detector, looks completely fake. Henry the 8th did not behead with a guillotine but axe or sword. Magnet fishing does not involve a fishing pole but strong rope and powerful magnet. Seems this video was cobbled together from little bits of information 🤔

There’s a story in my family about a relative it found a cash of gold on a farm he owned. In 1874 he bought a large piece of property in Western Maryland. Some years later you discovered a cash box full of gold and Confederate money. I verified the story in 1971 as I interviewed people in nearby towns. Several people had heard the story including a 90-year-old man that was owner of a hardware store in a local town. My relative showed up one day and ordered new equipment and tools for his farm. He paid in gold coins. The theory is that when Braddock retreated from Gettysburg in Pennsylvania they came down through Western Maryland on their journey home. Braddock had hidden some of his gold in case that he was captured. My brother-in-law is a avid civil war buff, and he said that was entirely possible.
