Awesome!
OK is this you Brady You sound a lot older
This was a fantastic video! I loved the narration and seeing your son explore . I wish it were meπ
This video is golden lol no pun intended. I’ve been hiking in the mountains here a million times, but never stumbled upon something as significant as this. I’m obviously doing something wrong!
All three of these are old mining tunnels, not caves. The first two have slumped entrances, typical of most of the dirt tunnels/adits here in N. Georgia. Hard rock tunnels are less likely to slump. The rock piles are mine tailings.
Cool
ππ
Why are you caving in shorts and tennis shoes? One small flashlight no helmet!
I appreciate the effort but i have concerns. Basic rules here, long pants, high top boots, oxygen sensor and better lighting. Still, thanks for what you showed !
Information : BATS CAN FLY THROUGH A HOLE THE SIZE OF A BACEBALL WIDE OPEN . ( AS FAST AS THEY CAN FLY ) TEMPERATURE HAS MORE TO DO WITH IT THAN ANYTHING . IF ITS A SMALL CAVE IT WILL NOT HOLD HEAT LIKE A LARGE CAVE WILL . the nest is most likely a raccoon . or possibly muskrat .
Great video.! The self-appointed YouTube safety police and the idiot who thinks muskrats live in mountain caves/mines…
I love how you added "Or a bear"π that’s my main concern with cave diving. If your looking for mostly natural caves y’all should visit Telco river area. Legend has it the cherokee had found a huge gold deposit in that area.
You need to buy helmets with fixed lights
Amazing
That is 1 brave kidβ‘
Cavers do not share cave entrance locations online. Itβs kinda of unwritten rule.
I have an ancestor who I think was possibly Cherokee. I was told once that a relative was somehow involved in the trail of tears ..I think. The relative looks Indian in her younger days and her hair was pitch black, I need to contact a living relative. I’m certain my original relative landed in James Town in 1619". I know the captain name in some doc.
I live in Chatsworth,Grassy Mountain has some cool caves they are just hard to find.Even found a couple with freshwater springs flowing out of them and old abandoned moonshine stills at the entrances
You guys only have a tiny single light? No helmets?
Fascinating but totally triggered my claustrophobia.
Okay I have something to say about what you said about being too tight and creaking for bats to maneuver out of . I’m going to tell you if you didn’t have much of a problem getting in there a bat won’t have any problem . And believe me they could get in there better than you could .
Wear a helmet
Those arenβt natural caves and more likely to be unstable
You need some stronger flashlights
If you are in Northwest Georgia, these are probably iron ore mines.
Were these caves or mines?
It’s still shown that this could very well be a Mayan city since most of the other tribes were nomadic. Also, the way the stones are set seem to be for terracing and could have come from the mines you found. The indigo used in the Mayan paintings and clothing dye are a match for indigo found in Georgia. I hope y’all can still go back to the site with better lighting and camera!
DUG ? That’s a mine. Caves are formed by Mother Nature.
After existing for ages only then can caves can be dug .
I’ve done those digs in caves. Because I’m an explorer,
not a visitor. Because I go where one has ever been.
Since 1964. Go figure.
Very dangerous without the right equipment. I cave dive sometimes in North Georgia. The second cave had a cave in back in the early 70s two people lost their lives there. It is said to be haunted.
Found an unsearched Native American Rock Shelter Overhang in North GA.There’s a cave inside but I’m too chicken to get back there. My friend went in about 20 feet and said it’s tight and looks like it open up.
Now This is a True Hidden Cave Video.
Good Stuff Guys.
I believe knowing what little I do about Indian Culture that the Rocks were put there by Them. I always think if I lived in the period I would want shelter Water & Food. Lots of Evidence of India’s living in Caves all over. What looks like a Nest I believe very well may be a GRAVE. the hard access to the second Cave. & The fact that Indians Burried There Dead in Caves leads me to think that. !
I would never do what you and your son are doing but Iβve really enjoyed watching them. Thanks so much for sharing. Happy caving and please be safe.
World is getting more scary by day
I wish you could tell use were the cave is
Nice 80s music in the back
I wish i had someone i could go do this with.
Location is this fort mountain area? Live locally in ellijay ga
If it’s a mine then it’s not a cave. As a spelunker, I’m just saying.
Looks like rabun county my home town
Caves? You mean mines?
They aren’t allowed to show the first one. It’s private property now. They hiked to the left a half mile down the mountain and were actually tresspassing.
I know where several of these are in Gwinnett and White County. Most are old mines. Be careful.
Have these been mapped?
Esau Tribe of Dan needs to keep their claws off shit the bastards that followed Ephraim to the promise land
My other Relative was from Scottland and was on a English ship. Injured and eventually came to America as a preacher.
I live in Cartersville and we have been to all of the caves/mines in this area. I would love to explore this place!
May I have the coordinates?
Thanks,
Brian
I live in north ga mountains, and hike off trail all the time in hopes of finding a cave. What mountain is this located on? Please let me know
No helmet. I’m outta here!
Cool video! Interesting fact- my brother in laws uncle is the one that found the de Soto sword here in the coosa valley.
I have the real story about where/how it was found. I should make a video on it.
Thanks for sharing!
the entrance is long and tight and tricky. thats what she……..
