  3. @anteup7474 on February 9, 2024 at 8:01 am

This was a fantastic video! I loved the narration and seeing your son explore . I wish it were me👀

  4. @johnraimondi1811 on February 9, 2024 at 8:03 am

This video is golden lol no pun intended. I’ve been hiking in the mountains here a million times, but never stumbled upon something as significant as this. I’m obviously doing something wrong!

  5. @bruceroberts3210 on February 9, 2024 at 8:03 am

All three of these are old mining tunnels, not caves. The first two have slumped entrances, typical of most of the dirt tunnels/adits here in N. Georgia. Hard rock tunnels are less likely to slump. The rock piles are mine tailings.

  6. @sallymay3643 on February 9, 2024 at 8:05 am

    Cool

  7. @wilbradford619 on February 9, 2024 at 8:05 am

    😎👍

  8. @debtortomercy on February 9, 2024 at 8:07 am

Why are you caving in shorts and tennis shoes? One small flashlight no helmet!

  9. @billconserva1461 on February 9, 2024 at 8:10 am

I appreciate the effort but i have concerns. Basic rules here, long pants, high top boots, oxygen sensor and better lighting. Still, thanks for what you showed !

  10. @buddavis2535 on February 9, 2024 at 8:16 am

Information : BATS CAN FLY THROUGH A HOLE THE SIZE OF A BACEBALL WIDE OPEN . ( AS FAST AS THEY CAN FLY ) TEMPERATURE HAS MORE TO DO WITH IT THAN ANYTHING . IF ITS A SMALL CAVE IT WILL NOT HOLD HEAT LIKE A LARGE CAVE WILL . the nest is most likely a raccoon . or possibly muskrat .

  11. @pensnut08 on February 9, 2024 at 8:16 am

Great video.! The self-appointed YouTube safety police and the idiot who thinks muskrats live in mountain caves/mines…

  12. @camronfox6181 on February 9, 2024 at 8:16 am

I love how you added "Or a bear"😂 that’s my main concern with cave diving. If your looking for mostly natural caves y’all should visit Telco river area. Legend has it the cherokee had found a huge gold deposit in that area.

  13. @richardleetbluesharmonicac7192 on February 9, 2024 at 8:17 am

You need to buy helmets with fixed lights

  14. @Ful-OGold on February 9, 2024 at 8:18 am

    Amazing

  15. @sallymay3643 on February 9, 2024 at 8:19 am

    That is 1 brave kid♡

  16. @richardleetbluesharmonicac7192 on February 9, 2024 at 8:21 am

Cavers do not share cave entrance locations online. It’s kinda of unwritten rule.

  17. @debbiramsey4603 on February 9, 2024 at 8:21 am

I have an ancestor who I think was possibly Cherokee. I was told once that a relative was somehow involved in the trail of tears ..I think. The relative looks Indian in her younger days and her hair was pitch black, I need to contact a living relative. I’m certain my original relative landed in James Town in 1619". I know the captain name in some doc.

  18. @maryrymer1104 on February 9, 2024 at 8:21 am

I live in Chatsworth,Grassy Mountain has some cool caves they are just hard to find.Even found a couple with freshwater springs flowing out of them and old abandoned moonshine stills at the entrances

  19. @averygentry35 on February 9, 2024 at 8:28 am

You guys only have a tiny single light? No helmets?

  20. @heenanyou on February 9, 2024 at 8:29 am

Fascinating but totally triggered my claustrophobia.

  21. @john-oh9cr on February 9, 2024 at 8:30 am

Okay I have something to say about what you said about being too tight and creaking for bats to maneuver out of . I’m going to tell you if you didn’t have much of a problem getting in there a bat won’t have any problem . And believe me they could get in there better than you could .

  22. @richardleetbluesharmonicac7192 on February 9, 2024 at 8:31 am

    Wear a helmet

  23. @richardleetbluesharmonicac7192 on February 9, 2024 at 8:31 am

Those aren’t natural caves and more likely to be unstable

  24. @lynnscott8286 on February 9, 2024 at 8:32 am

    You need some stronger flashlights

  25. @jayclark2245 on February 9, 2024 at 8:32 am

If you are in Northwest Georgia, these are probably iron ore mines.

  26. @mr.skeptical3071 on February 9, 2024 at 8:33 am

    Were these caves or mines?

  27. @shooglechic on February 9, 2024 at 8:34 am

It’s still shown that this could very well be a Mayan city since most of the other tribes were nomadic. Also, the way the stones are set seem to be for terracing and could have come from the mines you found. The indigo used in the Mayan paintings and clothing dye are a match for indigo found in Georgia. I hope y’all can still go back to the site with better lighting and camera!

  28. @jcee2259 on February 9, 2024 at 8:34 am

DUG ? That’s a mine. Caves are formed by Mother Nature.
After existing for ages only then can caves can be dug .
I’ve done those digs in caves. Because I’m an explorer,
not a visitor. Because I go where one has ever been.
    Since 1964. Go figure.

  29. @williamlinton1460 on February 9, 2024 at 8:36 am

Very dangerous without the right equipment. I cave dive sometimes in North Georgia. The second cave had a cave in back in the early 70s two people lost their lives there. It is said to be haunted.

  30. @take2wheels556 on February 9, 2024 at 8:37 am

Found an unsearched Native American Rock Shelter Overhang in North GA.There’s a cave inside but I’m too chicken to get back there. My friend went in about 20 feet and said it’s tight and looks like it open up.

  31. @lbbradley55 on February 9, 2024 at 8:37 am

Now This is a True Hidden Cave Video.
    Good Stuff Guys.
I believe knowing what little I do about Indian Culture that the Rocks were put there by Them. I always think if I lived in the period I would want shelter Water & Food. Lots of Evidence of India’s living in Caves all over. What looks like a Nest I believe very well may be a GRAVE. the hard access to the second Cave. & The fact that Indians Burried There Dead in Caves leads me to think that. !

  32. @mermaidgirl9232 on February 9, 2024 at 8:38 am

I would never do what you and your son are doing but I’ve really enjoyed watching them. Thanks so much for sharing. Happy caving and please be safe.

Location is this fort mountain area? Live locally in ellijay ga

  38. @jefflovejoy2997 on February 9, 2024 at 8:49 am

If it’s a mine then it’s not a cave. As a spelunker, I’m just saying.

  39. @davidmilam8023 on February 9, 2024 at 8:50 am

Looks like rabun county my home town

  40. @SuperDscruggs on February 9, 2024 at 8:51 am

    Caves? You mean mines?

  41. @nativecowboy7950 on February 9, 2024 at 8:51 am

They aren’t allowed to show the first one. It’s private property now. They hiked to the left a half mile down the mountain and were actually tresspassing.

  42. @pugdiddy100 on February 9, 2024 at 8:54 am

I know where several of these are in Gwinnett and White County. Most are old mines. Be careful.

  43. @MrThenry1988 on February 9, 2024 at 8:54 am

    Have these been mapped?

I live in north ga mountains, and hike off trail all the time in hopes of finding a cave. What mountain is this located on? Please let me know

Cool video! Interesting fact- my brother in laws uncle is the one that found the de Soto sword here in the coosa valley.

I have the real story about where/how it was found. I should make a video on it.

    Thanks for sharing!
