Does andesite there have a waxy sheen green /gray/redish ? Basalt is corse grain and hard and tuff as nails? I would like to see some close ups of andesite if you would. Careful out there. Only takes one wrong move. Guess i dont need to tell you that….duh. just want you too safe. And leave them cholla alone. They will attack you.

Hi you two! I just finished watching this video.Ive been watching you for years now! I don’t know how you will react to this but here it goes. I dont recall you ever checking the dirt at the bottom of the mines themselves for gold. I wonder why ? Gold being heavy it can collect in the floor into the small cracks and voids just like in a stream bed. I think the miners were too busy getting the best ore out to really check the dusty floor. Im not saying checking the entire floor but the areas of areas where the highest concentration of good ore. If im off my rocker just say so. Id like to know but i dont think i ever will.
Question for you, how much longer do you think it will be before there are no new large finds of gold ? Large areas that are not already claimed or mined?

We trek off into the Arizona Desert to look for lost Gold mines that are not on any maps but to get there we have to go through a very dangerous slot canyon and we have to figure out how to get up the waterfalls. These videos are just like being back in high school taking Earth Science classes. Great Geology lessons. After I found out what Geologist actually do mostly instead of just rock hunting and collecting, I changed my career choice, but never thought it could come in handy for Gold Prospecting. Bummer.

I just filed paperwork on a claim that the usgs historical records says it was averaging 3 oz per ton AU. It had a 10 stamp mill. My question is there is around 10,000 tons of ore in a huge oile all around the old stamp mill. The portal is directly behind the mill about 50 feet straight behind. It is free mill gold in quartz. Why wouldn’t they have run the ore through the stamp mill? I also read that the miners got paid by shares? Im not sure what that means. I tested quartz float onthe ground all around the mine and got really good color. It was a 1902 mine. What do you think about all the unworked ore?
