I was there in June . Not once did I see any cleaning machines or recycling bins . I was disgusted in how dirty the beach was. So many cigarette butts, straws, plastic bottles and bags. I did some metal detecting but chose to pick up trash every morning instead. Will never go there again!! Happy hunting!

Tennessee, I hear that now, in the cold of Wyo….it was Missouri. Dolphin pendant….a Californian was there, they are everywhere 😤 ….Fisher Cap, silver ring, nice find…..you could use a sling or shoulder strap for one of those tools. I normally use white’s metal detectors. Today I found a couple of fisher metal detectors at the flea market, and decided to get them to try. Gold bug II, and the other I have to take a closer look at. I think beach detector.

I enjoy metal detecting videos. Seems like everyone is getting into it these days even those Duck Dynasty boys. But I have to say you are sooo much better on the eyes than those bearded hillbillies.

Ran across your videos and they get me excited to get to detecting 😃 You need to get a GoPro camera to attached around your hat. Be less work for you having to setup a tripod each time.

That ring is a James Avery. He’s a high end silversmith in Texas.
I think the silver ring is a James Avery brand, they have boutiques in malls.
I visited the Gulf Shores area in the late 1980’s. The area has changed significantly. Where Hwy 59 intersected the beach the only building around was a beach shop. It is sad to see a continuos line of condos.
What type of detector are you using hun ?.

I live in San Diego, this area of Alabama reminds me very much of my area. I can imagine it might be a bit more humid. Wonder if there are any old time Spanish galleon wrecks where you might find a piece of eight or something. I imagine heavy metal sinks right down and stays with the wreck pretty much.

Could you give some info on the dive boots? I’m trying to decide if I would like them for beach detecting. I’ve used some knee length hunting type boots on the beach but they are heavy and hot. Any info would be appreciated.
