The fact that treasure hunters are responsible for finding 90% of modern day finds and not archeologists, is just further evidence that modern archaeology is a complete joke. Modern archaeology, if anything, has hurt our knowledge of the ancient past. The only thing mainstream archaeologists are sufficient at is digging with the carefulness of a sufferer of OCD. Their interpretations of their findings are typically dumb

I too believe that governments are thieves. It is WRONG for them to do what they do…they see big money and they find a legal way to steal it from those that found it. Archeologists are grave robbers…they disturb the graves and artifacts, keep the things they were buried with…what is the difference between them and other grave robbers?. I admit that I like seeing what they find ..but I also understand that if it were me in that grave, I don’t think I could see the difference and if it mattered to me, I would be very upset.

    My opinion:
The govt is due only the tax on the income from the sale of found items.

  21. @austinduke6017 on January 12, 2024 at 9:35 am

Over and over again the government does not want the whole truth of American history to be revealed. So they do everything to try and keep us under their thumb by making laws like Florida to discourage people from digging up true historic evidence to hide something they are scared of the people to find out. We the people have the power in America to push the government to pass laws in our benefit not theirs. They are trying to take that away and if everyone sits back and does not fight it, then they win.

  22. @ObamasDaddy-su9wz on January 12, 2024 at 9:39 am

I am a master treasurer Hunter I have found millions of dollars and never ever thought about giving a penny to any government or rightful owner NEVER

  23. @theylied1776 on January 12, 2024 at 9:39 am

They haven’t found any treasure on oak Island. They’ve found what? Some waterlogged wood, a couple of coins, and a belt buckle?

  24. @wandadurns4664 on January 12, 2024 at 9:39 am

THE CABAL SAW THAT SOMETHING OF WORTH WAS DISCOVERED AND FIGURED OUT HOW TO CLAIM IT FOR THEMSELVES THRU CROOKED POLITICIANS!!!!

All I have to say is dont you just love America and their rules and how the government runs America thank God for us European 50/50 no matter what 🖕🇺🇲😂

  26. @DePalma. on January 12, 2024 at 9:41 am

It’s not greed to want to keep what you find.
What makes the govt entitled to any of it? Zero, nothing.
US should make their law like England or keep suffering the loss…because those that do the work deserve to keep it.

  27. @emilievollmar7782 on January 12, 2024 at 9:41 am

Oh no I say it ain’t so not the government lying cheating and stealing from the people again after all of their hard work.

  28. @rosekinnison4724 on January 12, 2024 at 9:43 am

How sad all that hard work to find those ships and treasures and it can it all be taken away. That is total BS. He shouldn’t have to loose his life savings.

  29. @Redeye5978 on January 12, 2024 at 9:43 am

I believe that if the looser government being 4-500 years prior to the find shouldn’t have any claim if they are aware of the loss and the vicinity of the ship wreck then either go find it or write it off as they apparently have

  30. @SonOfGalactus on January 12, 2024 at 9:43 am

6:25 lol, he said you have to worry about the sharks and barracuda…stop this villainization , they’re just fish that we know leave you alone for the most part. Do better guys….

  31. @joycegiles4595 on January 12, 2024 at 9:44 am

This is very interesting learning how greedy Government’s can get over treasure. Thank you for sharing these stories , I enjoyed this video!🌺

  32. @stayupjs on January 12, 2024 at 9:46 am

Its easier to sell off 20 lbs of cocaine found on the water then actual treasure what a shame

  33. @Rammsteinschmidt on January 12, 2024 at 9:47 am

If you do all the work and find history ! The states and governments can destroy your business and reputation… you might as well GO BACK TO BEING PIRATES 🏴‍☠️

  34. @pirateofmiamibeach on January 12, 2024 at 9:49 am

I hope they help change the way Florida acts to treasure hunters. Mel Fisher fought and won against Florida.

  35. @Rammsteinschmidt on January 12, 2024 at 9:49 am

    Governments are greedy Marxist takers!
The sad part is history is being destroyed

  36. @03stmlax on January 12, 2024 at 9:49 am

Imagine finding a treasure that was stolen in ancient times and having to turn around and return it to the country that stole it all those years ago

  37. @patrickscycleshop on January 12, 2024 at 9:51 am

To be honest with you, do you blame people for not reporting their treasure finds???. The government can kick rocks as far as I’m concerned.

  38. @juneyshu6197 on January 12, 2024 at 9:53 am

The Gov no longer represents us. Theyre corrupt.

  39. @bboone7847 on January 12, 2024 at 9:53 am

The gov sucks when it comes to finding treasure now day’s. They let hunter’s spend their resources then take it away by any means without any compensation which I believe is very wrong.😡

  40. @mikeharville7371 on January 12, 2024 at 9:53 am

Spain has always been a theif !

  41. @tonyelbows8045 on January 12, 2024 at 9:53 am

why would you want to tell the governing bodies a damned thing if you found treasure?

  42. @kellishuster9788 on January 12, 2024 at 9:53 am

    Canadian government if french😊

  43. @kennedymcgovern5413 on January 12, 2024 at 9:55 am

Wait, how are these Welshmen "greedy" but their government isn’t? How are that "criminals," but their government, who produce NOTHING and then come in and take from them are "honest?" Are you people THAT far gone?

For the love of God, look at what happened to you when you included the government in your find.

You all may as well just wear leashes.

"And then, sometimes governments become unprincipled," he says afterwards. Dude, governments are ALWAYS unprincipled. Your government is corrupt to the core, just like everyone else’s. The government of the state of Florida just finished ROBBING YOU BLIND! WAKE UP!!!

Where did you get the idea to look for honesty and virtue from amongst pools of politicians? Are you mad?

  44. @joniangelsrreal6262 on January 12, 2024 at 9:56 am

Nice pad Marty …still searching oak island… the huge public scam …show us the money

  45. @georgewaite2952 on January 12, 2024 at 9:56 am

I would think their is still a lot of unfounded treasure out there. I am sure In the Florida waters , their are Spanish galleons waiting to be found.

  46. @03stmlax on January 12, 2024 at 9:58 am

Why doesn’t Spain ever catch flack for it’s colonialism and everything that went along with it? They were by far the most ruthless, mu®de®ous, thieving and greedy colonists out of everyone

  47. @geraldgreen3242 on January 12, 2024 at 9:58 am

Heart of the ocean, I know the last place it set .I didn’t want to touch it again.

  48. @427SuperSnake1 on January 12, 2024 at 10:00 am

We all know that US wants whatever money they can get out of anything. Anyone who knows about treasure knows that the US was involved in the recovery of at least some of Yamashitas treasure after WWII and the treasure found by Doc Ness at Victorio Peak in New Mexico..

It’s totally bogus to go uncompensated for all that work. They should have to pay to retrieve a ship that isnt in there own water, let alone from governments that had no laws when the ships went down. Should be grandfathered out….
