The real excitement from the oak island series would last about 37 seconds. But they have managed to draw it out for years. I remember they found a button once. Sad what the history Channel has become.

It’s more likely that this is a misnomer. It sounds like Jacob Waltz is the one who went missing and that they originally referred to him as "das deutsch" (the german), which later became, "the dutchman". "Mann" is male/man/husband in German, so fairly certain the Lost Dutchman Mine never existed.
All the searching and no one found ANY vain, let alone the Dutchmans.
