Brandywine Battlefield – DELAWARE and CHESTER County
Occurring on September 11, 1777, the Battle of Brandywine Creek was the site of the largest single day battle of the American Revolution. The Battlefield whose visitor center is located off Rt. 1 in Chadds Ford, focuses their attention on the preservation and education of the battle and the era of the Revolution.

great video
Overall, a "fairly" good reflection of the Battle. That said, some details can be refined: such as U.S. Route 1 known as the "Baltimore Pike" (in 1777 known as The Old Nottingham Trail); Washington knew of the Britsh Philadelphia Campaign of 1777 for weeks if not months and arrived at September 9th; 265 Britsh Ships sailed from New York City down the Atlantic Coast bypassing the Delaware River and up the Chesapeake;Congress had eacuated Philadelphia to York, PA well in advance of the Britsh occupation. Britsh Crown Forces crossed two fords – Jefferies and the Trimble’s. Ford. The Lafayette battle story is somewhat an elaboration , he had just turned 20 years, and had never been in Battle.
