Circa 1959 KTUL had a treasure hunt at Lookout Mountain, KUTL buried cans with a prize certificate. Having a metal detector dad came away with a Motorola tv which served us for years and a mink stole which dad sold to finance my older brother’s 1st car, 1956 Ford. Being only 5 at the time I don’t recall much but I remember there was a crowd roaming the grounds with their detectors.
