    Great story man, glad you made it! I’ve researched this story before and if there’s any truth to it is a wild guess as to where those caches might be! I regularly chat with the Cass County Historian and he’s aware of the story too. The trails out west changed so much over the years, there are about 7 or 8 possible routes they could have taken! Sure would be fun to locate those caches someday! Great story too, if you are interested I have some old newspaper clippings regarding this story.
