From what I hear unfortunately you’ll get a trespassing charge if you even try and set foot on Apple Island. It is owned by the Bloomfield Township School District. I happen to be a detectorist myself and one of my good friends works for the school district and it’s in the works that I am going to do a little treasure hunting there unfortunately anything found will will remain the possession of the school district but I am okay with that because it should be shared with the community
Not really a pleasant story, but look how we treated them, I’m sure his understanding of how great a threat we were to their way of life was legendary. I don’t treasure hunt, but if I did and found this, I’d want it all to go towards helping them. Thanks for the story!!
