I live in Sibley County my entire life. Grew up in Arlington. Henderson was our back yard, still is I guess. Heard stories about this as far back as I can remember. From what our grandparents told us as youngsters is that it was found in the late 50’s. Construction workers in excavators and bulldozers. It wasn’t as big as you would think. You’ll have better chance finding Indian artifacts. A spear point about 4 inches long was found at the 2019 Henderson gold Shindig I host annually.

My request of Naperville, IL DuPage county had a brewery, underground tunnels and eventually was sold to a worker with the last name of Coors and moved to Colorado. I wish I knew the year. I can find it out. Interesting video on the history. ATB & HH
