Why is ancient native artifacts in museums? Shouldn’t they be with the native reserves and descendants of native Americans?

  8. Michael Ciccone on September 30, 2022 at 9:20 am

The poor Native Americans Graves allowed to pillaged with permission of USA government. Staten Island NY…there are Native American Graves paved over to make parking lots and McMansions…..home of the Lenape Native Americans. Navajo Nation ravaged by USA corporations as well.

When i find an artifact i think of it as me preserving history and trying to understand the culture that chose that particular spot to live and why. It should be encouraged to collect stone artifacts.

  22. Enrique Nieti on September 30, 2022 at 9:35 am

  24. Nick Weinke on September 30, 2022 at 9:35 am

  26. Steven Walker on September 30, 2022 at 9:37 am

Amazing, all these killers and dealers out there and they target a collector. Yes some laws were broken but at least he had them on display like a museum. But no, the government wants there piece. I don’t agree with keeping peoples bones, but these artifacts will just disappear if not found. Also, museums are full of bones and stolen artifacts illegally obtained. Such BS

  27. Red Blanket on September 30, 2022 at 9:37 am

So why is our road covered with paleo artifacts we are still finding them on our road
These developers dug up a ancient burial ground and paved the road .
We’re still gathering bones and tools all the pottery is missing

  33. Red Blanket on September 30, 2022 at 9:48 am

  34. Aaron Wilcox on September 30, 2022 at 9:48 am

The racism part is bull manure. Good on this guy for collecting. Personally I can’t give a rip what happens to my carcass when I’m dead and gone.

  35. Lt. Dan on September 30, 2022 at 9:49 am

Her answer to why? "Racism". People who love history don’t even think like that; they love ancient cultures. People don’t collect things they hate. If laws were broken, fine. Do what is needed to make things right. But don’t manufacture a narrative of ‘hate’ where there is none. It was st this point in couldn’t take this ‘professor’ seriously.
Besides, has she seen how much of Europe has been dug up? Pathetic.

  36. Slater McDavid on September 30, 2022 at 9:52 am

Disgusting people, all of them. The man who digs up graves, the FBI who are absolute criminals and commit numerous crimes and the others who support such BS.

  37. Sooners55ok6 on September 30, 2022 at 9:53 am

  43. insight bytes2 on September 30, 2022 at 10:02 am

Always gotta throw in race…how about people are fascinated with their culture and exquisite tools! It was a very different thing back then. Give the old guy a break. He did the right thing in the end. Obviously, he wasn’t selling them. He was appreciating them!!! I dobut they went back to the countries… They went to high dollar collectors and museums.

  44. Romeo Lima on September 30, 2022 at 10:04 am

Lmbo if someone Diggsr me up hundreds of years from now and can make money from doing so. More power to them. I have found 2 Arrowheads in my life. I brought them home and placed them in my home for reverence. I often sit at my desk. Many times I handling them and wonder about the hands that made them? What was he like. What did he care about. Why was the point where I found it? Did the archer miss? What a loss it must have been to miss when so much effort went into making the arrow? The hands that made the thing they live in the thing because I contemplate the hands of he that did the thing. I have small objects I would like to be buried with. I like the idea some curious person in the far future will contemplate me. I hope his mind buzzes with questions. Yes I will not relinquish those 2 Arrow heads not because of any monetary value. But because the hands that made it and the hands that launched it. Sent it to me and we are forever linked. I like to think while the man might have looked for his losed arrow. I wonder who if anyone will ever find it.
I bet he never knew how far into the future he launch his special effort. Try and take them from me just try. In the pocket of my burial garment or at least the place it once was. I hope somebody finds those two arrow points and wonders.
About the man that made them and why a European found them so valuable.

  45. Nameless on September 30, 2022 at 10:04 am

He sounds like a cool guy but def should not have taken bones

  46. Brett Hess on September 30, 2022 at 10:05 am

Yes, it’s so important to take stuff from somebody, and put it in a box in the basement of a museum, never to be seen again.
After all, only the "gubmint" has the right to rob graves.

  47. Leftist nazi Censorship on September 30, 2022 at 10:08 am

Yeah they have been doing it in Europe for years. Not racism.

  48. grease addiktz on September 30, 2022 at 10:08 am

Stupied af just the government bs

  49. clickityclackity75 on September 30, 2022 at 10:09 am

Now imagine this is only ONE, persons illegals collection! There are more illegally obtained relics than are legitimate ! Half the artifacts that are for sale on websites, are illegal . This is unfair to the country’s they originate from and, it’s unfair to the academic community who now have no provenance for these items ! They’re basically useless, once they’re dug up and taken ! No matter how valuable the artifact !!!

  50. Elizabeth West on September 30, 2022 at 10:12 am

Lairs just wanted to steal his collection
