Ehhh calling BS on this one, crush the quartz and pan it for us. I have found gold in NC either your video camera is bad and this is good or those rocks don’t contain gold.

  6. WHYWHYWHY on October 23, 2022 at 8:55 am

umm Natural gold isn’t 24k most NC gold is 22k

  7. Michael koen on October 23, 2022 at 8:55 am

The new London area has what  is called chimney  gold-find a quartz vein dig out a length of it, count  specks of gold, when you find a spot that has more specks , dig thru rock down, aprox every 13 feet you will find a chunk of gold-could be a ounce could be a pound-nobody will ever tell. I used to look for gold  a lot years ago, also ten time speed gold panning champion and NC  speed record holder at Reed Gold Mine

Should have taken to someone who knows what the hell to do with it. Have an Assay Of the piece without breaking it apart, would have analyzed it first then calculated the amount of gold content. Then you could have sold it for 2-3 times it’s weight in gold to a collector. Is it really Gold you’re showing ? You don’t know ?

  16. AJ AX on October 23, 2022 at 9:02 am

I cant see the video, no latency issues, just a barcode over my video.

  17. Brad Stoner on October 23, 2022 at 9:06 am

We have a spot near us that produces a rich yellow mica in sulfide rich quartz with limonite, black manganese oxides, etc. You’d swear at first its gold but when tested, it contained only a small amount of gold (low assay). I’ve panned gold all over the Carolina’s and found gold in quartz and there is nothing quite like real gold in quartz, even the mica and pyrite pails in comparison to real gold.

  32. jeff Millikan on October 23, 2022 at 9:26 am

Enjoyed video.👍 im prospecting around in same area of New London. Im just 2 years in to the learning. Good job thanks for the info.

  33. Bolt Upright1 on October 23, 2022 at 9:30 am

I would have broken it in a piece of leather, and then pulvirisce it,put,in a hard crucbil, and torch it,(w/a mixture of boric acid+alcahol,it will turn to glass, and get the impurities out),and watch the gold ball up,the gold molecules will attract to each other, like freinds, and stick together, good vidio, tho,I love the mtns,in n.c, watch out for Bigfoot,he hates guns.

  34. Work4dough on October 23, 2022 at 9:32 am

Thanks for the upload. How do you extract the gold off the quartz?

  35. FearTheTruth on October 23, 2022 at 9:33 am

    No gold

  36. Robert Mancini on October 23, 2022 at 9:37 am

🤔Sorry buddy it is not gold at all. It’s flaky and like another said, mica. I truly hope you made a correction video because you are discrediting yourself 😳 I’m sorry friend. Also, the R2 tray is way too busy. If you want to have a good showing, I’d go all black. I really hate that, you did this to yourself and you even say you work in the field.

  37. LOST RIVER GOLD & GEM MINING on October 23, 2022 at 9:38 am

Are you sure its not just very yellow mica? Lots of that here. Crush and pan.. Lets see what the pan shows.

  38. Beth Porter on October 23, 2022 at 9:38 am

I live in NC and I’m looking for more people who collect rocks and minerals. I’ve been collecting a few years now but I don’t have anyone to share my finds with or verify that I have what I think I have. I subscribed to your channel. Do you have a Facebook page or group?
