We have a time share in Kauai… I hunt every time I’m there. It’s truly weak in HI for metal detecting, I don’t know what it is.. I kill it here at the beach in SoCal, but in HI it’s tough. Kauai is said to be the "lost ring capital of the world" too.. I have found a few good ones, but nothing truly amazing yet. I’ll be back out there this March. BTW, there are bottle dumps all over the islands there, they are always near the beach because that’s where the locals from the late 1800s on used to dump trash. If you look for "glass beach" at each islands, you’ll find a bottle dump nearby. Some of the dumps are now protected, but most are not

Sick vid!! My brother lives on the big island, and got me started on bottle hunting there. I know some great spots. Also found Hawaiian artifacts. I met a detector that went to Hapuna beach a lot. Talked about finding several wedding rings. That’s why I bought a waterproof detector. I wish I could have told you about so many killer insider spots there. My bro has lived there for about 25 years. Bottle hunting spots, dumps, history, skeletons, caves, food spots, etc. Let me know if you want deets.
