Fort Knox Gold | Kentucky Life | KET

The iconic James Bond movie Goldfinger included scenes of gold stored in Fort Knox’s United States Bullion Depository. Although the movie crew did shoot in the area, they didn’t gain access to the actual depository, which remains super secret and protected with ultra-high security.

Why does the United States have a gold vault? During the Great Depression, President Franklin Roosevelt ordered gold out of circulation, and private citizens had to sell their gold to the U.S. government. A new depository was neededโ€”preferably away East Coast cities thought to be vulnerable to attack.

The Fort Knox depository opened in 1937. Besides gold, the depository has also stored priceless documents like the Declaration of Independence and even the Magna Carta. Not all of the U.S. gold is stored here; gold is also stored at the mints in Philadelphia and Denver, at the West Point Bullion Depository, and at the San Francisco Assay Office.

The two-story building here is constructed of granite, steel, and concrete. The vault inside is made of steel and encased in concrete; the door to the vault weighs more than 20 tons.

Fort Knox historian Paul Urbahns and former vault employee Doug Simmons share captivating inside stories about the depository’s history and significance.

  9. Mark on October 21, 2022 at 7:27 am

Once in the UK there was supposed to be the equivalent value of Bank Notes produced ONLY to match the Gold Reserves and the British Bank Not was technically a receipt for a portion of the value of the gold. Now with quantitive easing there is more money than there is gold so the whole thing is a sham.

No one has ever confiscated people’s gold, more likely the government to go, but not the gold, that’s the last thing people will give to the government, that’s their money.
Moreover all these bricks belong to the country, the people, not the government and everybody knows that!

Yes, he was a problem for Zionist parasite bankers and communists trying to destroy and enslave Germany like they did to Russia. FDR was a filthy thief who stole the people’s gold to bailout the Zionist Federal Reserve

If you buy put options on gold and with your influence make my theory on money known provoking the gold market crash you would become rich. Being everything else the same a country with no gold is wealthier than a country with gold that protects the mineral inside a vault. Being everything else the same imagine a country with a baker, a fishmonger and a singer with no gold and another with a baker, a fishmonger and a guard to protect gold inside a vault. Which one lives better? Which one is wealthier? The country with no gold is wealthier because the baker and fishmonger get entertained by the singer for their money but the country with gold have to work to pay the guard to protect a mineral that offers no wellbeing or wealth because is useless inside a vault. An analogy would be an innocent kid after saving his pocket money buys a bicycle and his father tells him that he can store the bicycle in a garage unused to sell it in the future, but the rent of the garage would cost him some of his pocket money or he can use and enjoy the bicycle. Which option would the kid choose? There is not benefit in buying to sell because no value is added. Do you understand? The gold becomes wealth when is used, sparing the cost of protection. Because gold is increasingly more expensive to dig out as there is less underground and is increasingly cheaper as there is more on offer overground there would be a point when nobody would be mining the mineral. How much cost the taxpayers to protect gold? Cryptocurrencies are a number but money is transferable debt, a number and a name. Who would sell last?
