HIDDEN TREASURE in South Carolina – Exploring Hanging Rock Historic Site. (FTHVN 581)

We found one of South Carolina’s hidden treasures when we explored the Hanging Rock Historical Site near Heath Springs in Lancaster County. Tremendous boulders once sheltered British troops in a then remote area of South Carolina. It was 1780 and the America Revolutionary War was raging throughout the colonies as America struggled to win independence from the British Crown.

Cool! I just found out that my relative was one of the men that died. His name was John Darnell. He was only 30 years old.

I used to be fascinated by that place. It gives off a creepy vibe. I’ve filmed 2 videos there. My grandparents said that back in the day people used to have picnics and stuff but something happened & people stopped going. That area in the cave that is white must be where someone spray painted over it because maybe 3 years ago it had graffiti.

That was awesome, what a place. I agree with Karen’s score even though I wasn’t there, but from the footage it looks like the kind of place I would love to explore…and an interesting bit of history as well. Great stuff guys. 👍
