That area looks awsome. Looks a lot like idaho. Those rocks roll right off that mat. Awsome stuff. Glad the snow is gone and u can get out and prospect again. Got the sluice in the mail. Thanks brother. Those are some nice size pieces of gold u are finding. Enjoy it while it’s nice. Pretty soon it will be a hundred degrees out lol. Thanks for sharing brother

Looking at how you have to load the sluice if you took a metal garbage can lid cut slot for intake of water an line up cut for matirel, you could shovel onto lid an walk back

  15. @adamlong54 on January 24, 2024 at 9:48 am

Years ago I was up in the hills off hungry horse dam stopped on a creek that fed into the lake at a culvert few miles up parked went to work went back up to the jeep looked across the road on a tree sign said you have entered grizzly bear country keep alert of your surroundings. Went back to the stream went to work all the time couldn’t hear anything but the stream. After about 45 minutes of working not a spec in the pan my Native American kicked in the hair on the back of my neck and whole body stood up I got the Willie’s and packed up and to say on my last trip back up to the jeep I heard a bear. Lol even tho I was packing I’m glad I left . When it’s just you alone it’s hard to keep alert and work when your on a stream making so much noise that’s all you hear. People don’t realize Montana is still the old West and still wild only thing close is Alaska. Been hunting and had deer come closer and be curious of what you are they had never seen a man probably before in their life. Peaceful quiet country but sometimes people forget we are food on the food chain as well.

What is your goal for this season

  18. @jeffersonstategold8349 on January 24, 2024 at 9:50 am

That matt of yours looks like it runs well! I am in black bear and cougar country and it’s important especially in the spring to be super aware and have some kind of protection. My wife and I had a black bear episode a couple years ago. Thing was grumpy and hungry, after that we bought a trailer for the first time🀣 Love your ingenuity Alan!

Love my hobby miner sluice box was on a job the other day and the roofers were putting a rubberized roofing material on a flat roof building it’s slightly texturized for footing grip when it’s wet but not very thick so I was thinking of adding it to the flare for an indicator Mat it should hold the gold long enough so that I can see it and I love seeing those go into a sus saves me time from having to test or clean it out to see if I’m on the gold congrats on getting back out can’t wait to see more thanks for sharing see you on the next oneπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘ŠπŸ»

  37. @ronludwig9383 on January 24, 2024 at 10:11 am

G’day Alan. Always enjoy seeing what you’re making & trying out. Just thinking how many colors you’d get out out of that hole if you were using a 10" or 12" sluice and your back would love you for it!
    cheers
