Incredible Stories of Lost Treasure in California and the naming of Death Valley

In the 1850s-1860s treasures were found and lost in Death Valley California. Prospectors endured the lethal environment in an attempt to strike it rich. Along the way, new land was discovered and named. Here are two stories of some of the first prospectors to brave Death Valley.
