Indian Pottery and a Treasure Hunt!

Indian Pottery and a Treasure Hunt!

We’re on the hunt for Native American pottery and the story it has to tell. But along the way, I stumble across an empty treasure chest and decided to leave something in it…for you!

Well Ben I see Franklin isn’t far from Murphy and it would be fun to be there again. Feels like home. Your videos never disappoint and I always look forward to them. Thanks for feeding my brain. 😊

I wonder if you went to the site of Old Cowetta Baptist you’d find anything. I’m related to most of that cemetery, especially the Carpenters, Longs and Stiles families.

Some great info brother. I’m checking to see how far it is from here

Man I went down there today and it was gone, the whole cave and all was gone! I knew exactly where you were as I’ve fished there a bunch, used to be an old Jon boat chained up there before they did all that work.

Hope u wrote down the things you put in the cashe. And I hope someone just pics 1 item and replaces it with another item and writes what they put in. That’s the way its done. If someone gets greedy then it was all for nothing. Thanku for the lesson on pottery and stone artifacts Ben!

Very interesting. I find a wide variety of designs (oftentimes in one general area) in Texas so am curious about the layers of time now

A lot of good information Ben, thank you. One of the places I used to search you couldn’t take a step without stepping on artifacts but sadly now it is housing development instead of the Native American village it started out as!

Geocaching is a blast man. If you are a premium user you get notified when someone first hides it. It’s called first to find and a sweet award to see a clean log sheet. You either were the first finder EVER. Or it’s a new log book but I’m sure you were first since how nice the container was. Make an account brother it’s free! You’ll be hooked!

What a cool and informative video Ben! Very cool treasure hunt. Wish I lived closer cause I’ve never found any kind of Native American artifact. Not for lack of trying. Someday.

A good story to tell? How about the truth, that the real savages invaded a land already inhabited and they murdered them and stole the land and even today they are still invading sovereign countries and still murdering innocent people. Truth is never taught, only erased. Good luck with finding a story to tell about.

I really appreciate your explanation and the way you laid it all out. I learned quite a bit. Thanks. Wish I lived a few hundred miles closer to check out that Franklin NC site. Nice job loading up your find. Wishing you and yours all the best. Good luck, happy hunting and take care ✌️

I couldn’t help but chuckle when while going through your friend’s stash he left you, you said "I haven’t found nearly this much". I thought, of course not. Your buddy found it all! lol
    Great information. Thanks.

What a great lesson. Connecting the points with the pottery. I’m still just waiting to find any artifact at all. I can’t look for the geocache though. Too far. lol
