I believe that this is a mine on my property in California. I was just out exploring the property the other week. I recently purchased 21 acres of mines.

Pour about 1 gal of gas down there and strike a match. Then bring in some new wood and go to work. That’s after striking a claim or buying it off another holding a claim.

Thanks for sharing Jeff. Was there much more to see there or was that about it? I always enjoy searching out old ghost towns and mines, love the history part of what it was like back then. I know of some old mines in southern Arizona with some standing structures that I want to go check out, maybe camp out for a day or two while I explore.

Great videos! I love finding abandoned mines in southern California and have posted some vids on my channel as well. I noticed in the mines that I’ve found, there are always rusted pipes near the shaft entrance. I see you found the same thing in this video, and you mentioned that the pipe was used for water. Exactly how did they use water in these old mining operations? Where in the Mojave were these mines? Joshua Tree Park? If so, I thought Joshua Tree sealed all the mines in the park?

Really interesting and thank you for sharing. If I may make a suggestion – please slow down a bit and try not to flash the camera around so much. Thanks.
