"…taking a deep breath of humid Tennessee air…"
You’re damn right. We got some humid fuckin air.

So, I hate this story for killing off Zeb. But I like it cuz it’s a story about my home state.

There are so many holes in this story it’s hard to try to get into it. The narration was great but this was poorly written.

"I didn’t wanna tie my horse up just to untie it in a few minutes." Dude it takes like two seconds to tie a horse up.

The woods of Tennessee have more than skin walkers. We got wendigos, the take, the bell witch, hell you guys would love the haunted house in my town.

Lived on mountain tops out west, the valley falls of the cumberland gap and in the folds up and down the Appi’s. Stationed in Afghanistan for some time a number of yrs ago. Sloped the Romanian mountains, twice.

None as beautiful as The Grest State of Tennessee!

    Last sentence was epic

The whole red light thing actually has a tactical aspect as well as for horses and livestock.

Red light has the lowest wavelengths of light and it is very difficult to see with the naked eye, that’s why all military personnel carry red lights for flashlights while on deployment, and which is ALSO why night vision goggles usually depict green or blue into your eyes because those project the highest wavelengths of light that use ambient light.

(I am a U.S. Marine that has had the misfortune of hearing this lesson thousands of times so now you can hear it too)

  16. Shogo on November 12, 2022 at 12:02 pm

Yeah as a Tennessee native from Pulaski… (the woods) there’s seriously some creepy shit in these woods.. no matter where you go, woods are within 30 to 45min away… and the further out you go, the more daunting and dangerous it is. I’ve seen cryptids too.. it’s a real thing. As kids, we weren’t allowed to go outside at night. We heard shit all the time.. saw black Silhouettes in the distance running.. we’re inuit, Blackfoot natives dating waaay back. My Nana used to tell us about these things. We were tought to use firearms at and young age too.. they took that shit seriously. I’m in Nashville now. Thank God.

Amazing narration, Doctor. Only issue I have would be to the author, who still did an amazing job, but the one glaring issue I saw was that there’s been "reports" of the skinwalkers in their wolf/werewolf forms just brushing off bullets and continuing to attack cattle while the farmhands shot at it and watched as it ignored them.

I’m at 15:57 and I don’t understand why his real dad would have called from an unknown number. And why the one that wasn’t his real dad would have his real dad’s phone number. 🤷 Edit: Which one is the real one?!

  34. Wolfman on November 12, 2022 at 12:22 pm

This was very well written and narrated.

  35. Teirdalin on November 12, 2022 at 12:22 pm

    >Horses get spooked when encountering monsters.
    >Horses get one-shotted by moneys.
"The horse makes it easier to hunt those white-eyed sons of bitches’"

  36. Teirdalin on November 12, 2022 at 12:23 pm

"I never drank when we rode because I was underage, and I was the designated driver. I’m aware this all may sound very dangerous even strange, but I assure you it’s not."
It is pretty dangerous and strange to be sober while riding horses.

This is why I ride dressage…in an arena…during the day. The scariest thing there is my trainer.

Also as a fellow Tennessean. I’ve never fully trusted the woods after dark. I’ve heard a few things go bump in the night lol. Awesome story Good Dr.
