Just one of these treasures would be worth over a billion dollars in today’s money, and we’re on the trail of two of them. We aren’t looking for the treasures themselves, but the remains of those who hid them and others who spent their lives hunting for these treasures over the past 450 years. There’s loot hidden by Spanish sailors to prevent it from being captured by Sir Francis Drake, and other treasure from a wrecked galleon salvaged by natives in the 1700’s.

I’ll tell you what man- in my opinion your videos are impeccable and brilliantly edited. I think your abandoned videos are even better than the Proper People’s videos.

It is really weird that with treasure in Britain, the finder is rewarded with the treasure’s current value but in the US the finder is screwed.

That’s just barely enough money to split between two cheating Democrats and not have one kill the other.

Brilliant video as always! But one I find one thing rather odd. Upon finding out that the hold of the captured Spanish ship was empty, surely Sir Francis Drake must have drawn the conclusion that the crew of said galleon hid the treasure. So, couldn‘t he have forced the crew of the galleon to reveal the whereabouts of the treasure? If so, the treasure should have been transported to England, right?

Great video! I’d like to know more about the sources you used concerning visits by European vessels prior to Spanish colonization of California in 1769. Here’s a little article I wrote on the subject: https://visionsofcalifornia.blogspot.com/2017/12/spanish-manila-galleons-in-california.html

Outside Native Americans, the Spaniards weren’t good at fighting. Brits regularly clobbered in battles.

  42. James West on September 27, 2022 at 8:26 am

Yes, some flying fish flap their wings. I have scooted along in a motorboat and had these fish jump and fly for many yards about 10 feet from my eyes. They flap their wings like a hummingbird and they do fly, not glide.

  43. The Conceptualist on September 27, 2022 at 8:26 am

Keeping me entertained on the bus to college. Well done!
I’m also a little tempted to go after the treasure myself. 1 billion dollars? Come on!

  44. Ram Skirata on September 27, 2022 at 8:28 am

this here seriously is professional quality editing, storytelling and filming – the production quality is on par with TV. The storytelling and relevance is exceeding TV.

    hey… that’s where i live

  46. James Sylvestre on September 27, 2022 at 8:29 am

The trick to buried treasure is not telling anyone you found it.

For example, a Spanish ship wrecked in a hurricane near Florida. The wreckage was found but the bell went missing. Spain wants the bell. The US government wants to find it for them. I can neither confirm nor deny knowledge of this bell’s whereabouts
