Lost Treasure ~ Wallace Creek Idaho

Lost Treasure ~ Wallace Creek Idaho

Around the World, things have been found, then lost again. Some have been found again, but there’s a LOT out there that hasn’t!
Who doesn’t love a Treasure Hunt? Reading about them is fun, but when it’s a place I can go to, it’s even more fun!
This book is about Lost Treasures here in Idaho, but I hope maybe it will give you some ideas and spur you to look into Lost Treasures in your own area.
Anyone can grab a metal detector and go to a park, school ground, campground, fairground, beach…..almost any public place….and look for lost coins or jewelry!
Ask before digging holes though! It’s not nearly as fun if you get a ticket for vandalism!
This book is about Idaho, but I bet there is a similar one for your state, or area you live in?
Enjoy!

"Gold is where you find it." Still rings true to me but it ain’t always that simple!

I love the salmony hue off the snow at low sunlight. My first impression of the Arctic, when I was there were the same colors. How are we going to know where we are going if we don’t know where we came from. We must never forget the lessons history teaches us. Have a nice day.

Your video brought back memories for me. For many years I too was very much into treasure hunting and gold prospecting. I had my best luck hunting nuggets with a metal detector in both Arizona dry washes as well as here in Alaska. I had a 3 inch suction dredge for a few years but didn’t really use it much since it was quite involved to carry into areas, set up and use. I usually went by myself on those trips so had no help in packing. Nugget detecting was more productive with lighter equipment for me.

Sounds like you might need to invest in a metal detector ! It would be neat to find a gold cache that someone had hidden so they wouldn’t get robbed.

Thanks for another great video. I’m planning on going panning myself this summer. Ought to be fun. Outside of steamboat springs there’s a creek called Wallace Creek and a story of lost gold. But as you can tell it’s in Colorado. Quite a few around steamboat. Oh well, I just want to have fun. Idaho or Montana. Can’t wait.

Very interesting. I read some where recently that 10% or less of the worlds gold has ever been found. That to me means there is a lot left to find, but there is a lot of area it could be hiding in. Good luck on your quest, my friend. PB

Gold weighs heavy on the heart. Gold is a thirst that nothing can fill. Just one more ounce.

China springs murders were done by the same guys who tried to kill c.walker lyons. They did kill c walkers partner at spring creek i believe. A few of them were deputies. C walker lyon is a interesting character his son was a lawyer in town for many years. The family used to own the building next to the smoke house and where the new library is now. Old man lyon hunted all five of them down and supposedly killed them.one in Arizona, one near chicago and i cant remember about the others. Those families are still in salmon for the most part.
