Man Realizes After Inheriting Grandparents’ Farmhouse That They Were Hiding a Big Secret Under Floor
Nearly two decades after his grandparents’ passing, one Reddit user, known only by his user name EvilEnglish, found out he had inherited their abandoned Tennesee farmhouse. Soon enough, you’ll discover why the user decided to keep his name confidential!
In order to sell the property, EvilEnglish needed to clear out the farmhouse. While cleaning out the old house, he expected he might find a few souvenirs from the carefree days he spent there as a child. EvilEnglish had no idea he would soon discover that his beloved grandparents had been hiding a massive secret from the entire family…

I was told to never throw away damaged paper money.
That you can send the bills to the treasury.
They can replace the damaged bills so
you don’t lose all your monies. Peace

5 minutes of content wrapped in 23 minutes of sheer bullshit.

  8. Betty McNally on November 1, 2022 at 11:28 am

FYI, the paper money he found, even though in bad condition can be taken to the nearest Federal Reserve Bank. As long as the serial number can still be read, they will replace it for him.

  9. Brandon Gray on November 1, 2022 at 11:29 am

Yes he could just sell them to a gun shop, probably wouldn’t get the best deal but he could! Could also sell them to a pawn shop, but this would probably net him the least amount of money! He could auction them off, which could get him the most. As far as I know the only way he could have any issues with the handguns is if they were stolen or he was a felon.

I live on the NC TN line. The English settled this area and are the most important family in this area. They did everything. Store owners, Doctors, delivered mail and farmers. To this day (2022) they are consistently helping the community.

OK first off Tennessee is in the heart of the deep south unless he moved do you like Gatlinburg he experiences everything you experience in all the other southern states the same heat the same humidity and this is coming from personal knowledge I’ve lived in Florida I’ve lived in Georgia I’ve in Tennessee The only difference is it rains every day in Florida too it might not rain for weeks in Tennessee it’s still just as hot so I don’t understand why they moved from the deep South which is Tennessee to Tennessee to get away from the deep South makes absolutely no sense

  29. Littlewolf13 on November 1, 2022 at 11:52 am

A bit tedious – & confusing-now the house is restored, now it’s dilapidated, then it’s modern. WTF? Is it dilapidated or restored? Too fractured a story really.

Never, ever post anything about anything.

My grandfather had been raised in the Puget Sound region as the son of a wealthy woman, my great grandmother. But, when he was about 13 the crash of ’29 happened and they lost everything, or should I say the bankers had them very badly invested and the investments became worthless, at one point in 1930 the bankers showed up and gave them half an hour to pack up what they could fit in one car and leave. So it goes without saying that they never again trusted banks. When Grandpa died the family was cleaning out the house and they found cash mostly stashed all over the house, taped to the backs of framed photos, in the false bottom sugar jar, under a lose floorboard in the garage, inside the old disused wood burning stove, there was thousands that we found and who knows how much we did not.

People are pretty horrible when you come across treasure like that.
Just like the lottery. You never share the fact you won to anyone. Not even family.

My Dad inherited the farm in NZ in 1950. They started cleaning out ( clothes bedding etc). Mum was emptying draws which In those days were often lined with newspapers. An article in one paper caught her eye so she took the paper from the bottom of the draw to read it. In between the pages she found over
£100.00 ( maybe $500.00+ today) They had already cleaned out two-three rooms. Just scooping all the stuff out of the draws and burning it. The remaining draws produced an amazing amount of money. Because of the depression Grandma and Grandpa had gone through, banks weren’t trusted and many kept their savings under the mattress our in hidden place’s in their home. How much money was burnt no one knows. BUT a sequel to this. Dad fired up the old fireplace in the wash house to burn all this stuff. When cleaning out the ashes he dragged out two baking power tins. Opening them, he found tightly coiled banknotes which he couldn’t seperate. He took them to the bank and they sent them to somewhere to seperate them . Twenty two thousand pounds were recovered, a fortune, the money saved the farm, dad turned the old dairy farm into a plant nursery and woodworking shop. They were great days and many memories keep flooding back.

    Get to the point.

  46. Mtn Writer on November 1, 2022 at 12:13 pm

It’s almost a curse to find something of great value amongst fellow human beings. What do you do now??! Knowing that the first thing many want to do is hunt you down and steal it – even "kill" you to get it. Others want to lie to you and steal it "legally." Reminds me of those who win the lottery – another curse. First thing they do is disconnect the phone and go into hiding (for years). Everyone wants a piece of them. People they know change and they don’t even know who their friends are anymore. Inexplicably you’re also a target of women, all of whom suddenly want to have your baby. — Money/Wealth is what makes me misanthropic faster than anything.

  47. Toni on November 1, 2022 at 12:13 pm

Paper money that says Federal Reserve is new. Old money would have said Silver Certificate. I scrolled the comments trying to cut to the chase. Haven’t found it yet. Guess it’s just that the grandparents kept cash and collectables in the house. Doesn’t everyone?

  48. Renz. on November 1, 2022 at 12:17 pm

Almost 6 minutes in. We have two commercials and the story is just running on and on. Can you get to the point? Don’t share shit with the internet. Especially something like Reddit. People should know by now how screwed up internet and social media exposure can be.

  50. Mad Rage on November 1, 2022 at 12:20 pm

None of the dollar bills should’ve been thrown away as long as you can see the serial number on them banks will replace them the treasury will replace that bill they have to
