Only heirloom seed. 😀 also did you know the newer "improved" variety of Granny Smith apples have ? something that causes them to not rot? I will only buy old varieties of fruit trees and bushes. I’m considering a greenhouse to cover all of my plants? of course, if I want corn, ..maybe Golden Bantam? with GMO in sugar beets and rice, and so much dried beans, and additives, we have to make choices. Stay well and safe.

Ever Read the art and science of dumpster diving John Hoffman I have link to free book. He is educated makes good money and STILL gets his food from the dumpster as much as he can. A book that you will laugh out loud reading. He offers practical advice there are people that have hogs they will go in search of food for their hogs you better believe if they give it to the hogs they find food they say this is too good for hogs. I have gotten can goods out trash my favorite cucumbers one blemish.

  9. donze52 on June 8, 2023 at 8:53 am

you get it, I would vote for ya
but if you make it better put on two bullet proof vests.

  10. GEAUX FRUGAL on June 8, 2023 at 8:55 am

Then there is the catfish that can be caught with a car tire. You use bailing wire or zip ties to seal the beads of the tires together. Cut entry hole in North side of tire drill drain holes in bottom so you could pick the tire up leaving fish inside the tire. Attach a rope to collect your trap and you have a CHEAP catfish trap make as many as you want tires are everywhere if you leave them out there who will care the fish will have habitat but if you want fish to pick a few.

I love to hear fellow believers who are not ashamed to speak the very Name of Jesus in public.Clearly our Lord spoke on this subject in Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels… Lord, God , and Father all mean the same to you and me but vastly different for most of the rest of the world. No confusion in the Name Jesus.

  12. donze52 on June 8, 2023 at 8:58 am

now that is interesting, grandma used black walnuts to fish with while still green. I dont fish, to many rules and It is not my favorite food.
    thanks again

  13. GEAUX FRUGAL on June 8, 2023 at 9:00 am

That sounds like another story ? The fish might not be your favorite but you better believe you put that in the ground where you plant your stealth gardens you will have better crops and if you are growing beside the river you will have ready supply of fertilizer you pull up a 10 pound catfish clean the meat off that body will come in useful. You don’t let your 2 liter float show above the water you wade in the water to get it dump it ins a boat or pull to land.No rod and reel not fishing?

  14. donze52 on June 8, 2023 at 9:03 am

yep thank GOD I live in a poor section of town, number of locals made the mistake of living near rich people that demand perfect lawns and call the city complaining if grass or weeds are over 2 inches tall.

  15. donze52 on June 8, 2023 at 9:04 am

so many options rather than live in poverty
G men only see taxes with tunnel vission
so many blessing if only we would use them.

  18. donze52 on June 8, 2023 at 9:08 am

THANKS FOR WATCHING, STUFF IS GROWN IN SOUTH WEST NEBRASKA, BUT ALMOST A 1/4 OF THE LAND IS PAID NOT TO GROW ANYTHING BY TAX PAYERS, WHEN MONSTER 1/2 MILLION DOLLARS MACHINES VERY FEW WORK ON FARMS ANY LONGER. PLUS NO ONE STARTS SMALL FARMING. AS FOR CHRIX TREES WE CANT EAT THEM THAT IS LIKE GRASS. LITTLE MORE THAN A WEED: SO IT IS INSIDE THE CITY LIMITS, i OFFERED $300 million to the city:
LAST g MEN STATS ARE PROVEN LIERS ALL THE TIME, SO DO NOT
TRUST THEM NOR THE PEOPLE THAT WRITE THEM

  19. Evan Chase on June 8, 2023 at 9:09 am

With all due respect. Mr. Bill.
I’m checking a 2007 census of zipcode 69001 on quickstats.nass.usda.gov and it appears McCook has quite a booming agriculture of :
    -Sorghum grain
    -corn
    -hay
    -vegetables
    -wheat
    -soy beans
    -sun flowers
-And even 2 acres of Christmas trees

This totals around 800 acres of agriculture and employs many farmers in your city. What are your thoughts on this?

  20. donze52 on June 8, 2023 at 9:11 am

we have eaten a number of times out of dumpsters when times were hard. and thrown away bread is still good if kept cool.

  24. donze52 on June 8, 2023 at 9:14 am

thanks for info, I think it is not fat they are after but freedom.
power is addictive and with one goal slavery.
they will not be happy until they without cause can put you in a slave work camp, then come to your home, murder you children and rape their dead bodies. NOT my words but one of the G men said "it will be the future of America"

  25. donze52 on June 8, 2023 at 9:15 am

One of the things, to watch for is hybrids that refuse to germinate a second year, if it polinates your non hybrid plants those seeds will not produce again forcing we who want to save seed to still have to buy from evil corporaitons.at there prices and hidden DNA with in.

  26. donze52 on June 8, 2023 at 9:17 am

I dont have license but a friend gives me all his extra minnows for gardening with. I also have raised gold fish in my stock tanks but dought last year forbid it. a 1 inche long fingerling will be near 3 inches by end of the summer making a 20 cent fish grow into a $3 fish to local buyers. and no game and parks rules for gold fish.

  27. PhoenixCustomPrimiti on June 8, 2023 at 9:18 am

Already taking the wisdom of Mr. Bill to others in our town and spreading it around. You’re better than Sunday-go-to-meeting and a lot more is learned from the things you relate by way of experience. As you say, I tell you what. 😉

40 million farms 100 years ago, & one million government workers then

  33. donze52 on June 8, 2023 at 9:23 am

I use treated seed potatoes, not to expensive here at D& S hard ware store,
but $1 a pound, and most tators can have 4 eyes or 4 plants from each.
well worth it new tators are one of my favorites.
God bless your garden and make it fill your barns for the winter to come.

  34. GEAUX FRUGAL on June 8, 2023 at 9:23 am

When they have high prices like that you can score a lot of food in the dumpster. I went to the dumpster the other day and got boocoo bread out of there we took it to feed ducks but it was still good bread one day beyond their date. IDK about you but I have eaten bread at home that was a few days out of date. I have even frozen bread that was going to go out you pop it in the toaster never know it was frozen bread. We have the NUTREA that critter is everywhere you can get a nice meal 3 cents.

  35. Rex Rexerest on June 8, 2023 at 9:23 am

Yeah, city codes say you can’t grow a garden in ones front yard, yet during WWII, government was promoting victory gardens.  Also today is going green, eco, but I don’t see schools having paper drives anymore, and no one I know saves rubber, metal like I’ve seen in film of what they did during the war years.  Your correct, tons of unused land abandoned to land codes, and tons of resources not recycled.

  36. Woodsygirl62 on June 8, 2023 at 9:24 am

Amen!! now.. the questions isn’t if, but when..You’re viewers and most of my woke up friends here know, i’m hoping for the best, preparing for the worse,, and poring over seeds(heirloom,of course) and looking to start berries. As long as the g-men don’t come too soon we at least are doing our part. God bless and keep you and yours..

  41. GEAUX FRUGAL on June 8, 2023 at 9:28 am

Supply and demand my brother you start selling tomatoes there they will either lower their prices or they will stop selling tomatoes or try to muscle you to sell your tomatoes to them. You are correct about the FDA and the chickens HR 2751 is law now the FDA has more power than the DEA give it time they are going to be beating down your doors for food laws. That is why they want to take all your guns they want you to get every calorie from their FDA prescribes no more fat people.

  43. Rose Cantos on June 8, 2023 at 9:28 am

Mr. Bill, it appears that you’ve got a "green thumb". What do you recommend for fertilizer for your tomatoes? I’d like to start growing my own and would welcome any advice.

  44. donze52 on June 8, 2023 at 9:30 am

Aint nobody is going to miss an old ranch hand. so do what they want. I would advice not to leave me wounded.

  45. donze52 on June 8, 2023 at 9:31 am

that old chinese general said they have to disarm the public before they can march, they do not fear America’s military but 200 million guns in private hands if they but killed one enemy before the person was shot, would force china to retreat.

  46. kentuckyfoxtrapper on June 8, 2023 at 9:32 am

Well Bill, you’ve out did yourself again. That was one excellent video with spectacular advice. To bad the Cities, States and Governments can comprehend food verses food stamps.

  50. GEAUX FRUGAL on June 8, 2023 at 9:37 am

It might be nice to live in the boonies but it is costly in that food cost more the markets have no competition to speak of. They know you probably will not trek to the larger cities to get your food. You have one thing on your side if you get a freezer and a side of beef you will be throwing away food but you may get it around $2 a pound. If you could raise your own birds that is a plus too I eat 2 Rossetti chickens a week put them in a salad I can eat very well very cheap.
